Description Exclusive small animal veterinarian
I been going to Tilsit for years. I love them. They are not scared to tell you how to take care of your animal and willing to give advice and answer any questions you may have. When my husband was recovering from a stroke and I tore my meniscus Two tech climbed into the back seat of my husband SUV (because the dog was too rambunctious for us) and gave my new dog a shot. I could not believe the length they went to to help all of us. Then they walked the massive strong dog into Tilsit and brought him back out to the vehicle. I love them, I will not take my animals anywhere else. Years ago my daughter's dog had been given hear worm treatment. I called them at two in the morning and an old man answered the phone saying I knew you were going to call. I said I think my daughter dog is dieing he said no he is not it's just the treatment for heartworm makes him breathe like that and he was right our fur baby lived to be an old dog. I would say the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is they are pricey but then you get what you pay for .
I only started using tilsit vet right at two years ago. The only time they saw my old dog was to euthanize her. He came to my car. While trying to give her a shot to calm her, they couldn't find a vein and then poked her. She yelped and then immediately had a seizure. I promised her it would be okay but she was terrified. Next, my cat got sick. He was seen and given antibiotics. We followed instructions but after the meds were gone, he relapsed. I called and asked for a second round of antibiotics and was told they would have to see him first. I couldn't afford it so an appointment was scheduled for 1 1/2 weeks later. He died the day before the appointment. Lastly, my pittie. She had two cysts removed a last week. She has been wearing a cone for 10 days and the stitches have yet to come out in one incision and it is quite red. Without payment they will not even pull stitches out. They scheduled her for 4 days from now. So my dog has to go longer than necessary for relief.Needless to say, I am highly displeased. If they truly cared more about animals than money then exceptions should be allowed in the best interest of the animal.
They are amazing people. We lost our Malemute/ Newfoundland cross today. (He was 14 yrs old) Their compassion and caring made his passing a little easier.
Tilsit animal clinic is concerned with your pet. They aren't concerned with state of the art equipment and gorgeous waiting rooms that have coffee. It's bare brass , just good vet services without a large price tag -which is what I want. My cats and dog like the vet and the vet tech too. So do I. 🐦🐕🐈
Told me that my puppy, 1 1/2 year old, "didn't have a blockage because he would be laid out not moving" and guess fricken what. he has a blockage. he won't even lift his head now, the next day. he's at another vet who may have to do emergency surgery to get it out. thanks for maybe killing my baby.
i LOVE tilsit! they have always taken such good care of all 3 of my kitties. very affordable! about 2 years ago i had my kitty spayed and she kept getting out of her collar and messing w her incision, it was a kinda red and i just wanted to make sure it was okay. i called and they had me come in BEFORE they even opened for the day! They checked her out, and gave her a steriod shot for ths itching, i went up to pay and they didnt even charge me! i will only ever take my babies here!
