My friend got 2 cats from this place and she did adopt cats she recused them. She mentioned that they were sneezing and they blew it off like it was nothing then got home to find out 1 is sneezing blood and now we have to take them to the vet. DO NOT ADPOT HERE!!!!!!! 😑
Was told we could adopt a cat that had a lesion on his nose, he was placed at pet supplies plus, I let them know about his nose, and they decided to take him back to treat it. We were told it was ringworm and I called pet supplies plus to let them know and the rescue did not let them know, so luckily they were told so they can clean everything. I was still wanting to adopt him after he was treated. I talked to my vet and was told about a test they can do where they test the active lesion to see if they are a carrier, so I let the lady from the rescue know that I was in contact with, I offered to pay for the test and his treatment multiple times, she ignored me on the text I sent about the test, and sent me a screenshot of an article saying they aren’t carriers from ringworm, which if you look it up the first thing that comes up is how they can be carriers, and my vet also said that. I told her I didn’t want to risk giving my other cats ringworm and how I would pay for the test. I asked her multiple times how he was doing, the last time I asked she said she was on vacation and would let me know how he was when she got back. The next text she sent me was that he got adopted from an older couple coming in. I am concerned he was not separated from the other cats so they could have ringworm, I also thought it took months to treat ringworm. I am upset because we were excited to adopt him and had fallen in love with him, and we were told we could take him home once he was treated. I don’t know why she thought it was such an issue to do the test even if I payed for it. And for us to get a text saying he was adopted after she said she would let me know how he was doing, was beyond shocking. If you adopt here, please make sure you have a vet appointment scheduled before you bring them home to your other pets, so they don’t spread anything.
We adopted a beautiful male tabby. He's such a love bug. Please go to the cat rescue, if you want a cat. They have many that need a loving home. Awesome people who run this facility. You get a certificate for a free healthcare check also included in the adoption price. Please support a local shelter. 💯👍🤗
They don't even get back to you when app is submitted to say approved or deny. Also didn't respond to my friend
Everyone is Terrific! Kind, caring and very helpful. My husband and I were very touched and could feel the Love they all have for the furbabies.
This place works for the cats of the local community, but in doing so they have become very overwhelmed and it is hard to keep over 150 in good health. Please be sure if you’re looking to adopt a cat make sure you be ready to take the cat to the vet immediately. Upper respiratory infections and herpes are a big problem with larger cat facilities. Just be aware that while this place is set out to do the best for the cats that are uncared for but, they’re understaffed and under funded which leaves them struggling to help all these cats. If the community cared more about their cats then this place would be a big success, they are trying they’re best and could use all the help they can get.
