I adopted my kitten here a week ago and the process was very simple, cost was reasonable, and she had all her shots (minus rabies) and spay all taken care of! The animals appear well taken care of and the staff are very friendly. My kitten was also already very familiar with the litter box and I had no issues with getting her to use it even on her first day home. Highly recommend the Auburn Valley Humane Society.
Went with a friend to help him adopt a cat. The cats living conditions were amazing, they have plenty of spaces not in little cages. They have AC for the up coming summer time. I’ve donated to this location because of that. Great and friendly staff as well. Please consider donating to them to keep this location alive!
Everyone I've encountered here at Auburn Valley Humane Society has been so kind and accommodating. With the assistance of FCAT showing me how to trap cats, and Auburn Valley Humane Society for helping rehome homeless kittens/cats and TNRing ferals, I've been able to help over 20 cats so far. Thank you all for what you do ♥️
These are great people who found my puppy during a tough time in my life. They even helped by waving the fees! Being reunited with Gemma brought my life back to me. I couldn't even eat!
I picked up this little lady called Maggie she's settling in quickly and enjoying the outdoors and forest environment it was a pretty simple process and was an enjoyable interaction
Such great and helpful staff ! I came in a week ago and bonded with this cute little girl named Lendora. I waited too long and someone adopted her first (no hard feelings I’m sure that sweetie pie has the best forever home). I came in a couple of times, and by my third visit one of the ladies at the front desk told me about this little guy. She showed me him and his brother, and was equally passionate about me going home with a kitten cause I was coming in multiple times bonding with cats and kittens left and right, and told them about my story with my last esa animal. She had me put him on hold (25$ fee that doesn’t go towards adoption fee) , and the staff was VERY flexible in the window time of me picking him up. I just kept in contact with them since I work in Seattle and they obviously close at 6pm everyday. I picked him up the next day (thanks to the amazing manager at another location that I was filling in for letting me go early). I won’t lie first couple of nights were not the easiest. He just got spayed, and was a stray so his trust level of me, the other humans, and house he is now living in was non existent. But by the third day he was purring and loving on everyone, and I gained his trust via squeezable treats. I just woke up to him staring into my soul, and yearning for a good head and chin scratch from his momma. Horus is such a sweet, sociable, curious, adventurous, and independent kitty. He loves a good brush session and as long as he’s receiving some form of petting he doesn’t mind me touching his paws. Unfortunately though we did have to go back to the shelter and get a e-collar, go home, and put on the cone of shame… but he seems to have adjusted quickly and very well to his forever home. Thank you to the staff for helping me find the best ESA cat I could’ve ever asked for ! Key’arra J. Update*** I keep seeing the views on this go up, so I thought I’d update y’all. Horus is still with me almost 2 years later. He is a fully grown boujee kitty man who is good when he wants to be. We do have some issues with grooming but nothing treats and gabapentin can’t fix LOL ! He has moved 3 times in 2 years, but adjust to the moving as long as he has me. I want to thank Auburn Valley Humane Society for my fur baby/esa cat <3
