I don't want to be rude to the whole staff because there are people here who are great and do their job, but to those who aren't...damn dude. We adopted two German Shepherds who were kennel mates. We wanted to keep them together because they seemed attached and we were trying to be nice. They told us that the you get one was two years old and the older one was four. The first red flag should have been when they told us they hadn't been outside in over three weeks. When we got them home, it took us just a few hours to realize that the youngwr one was NOT two years old, but maybe a year old at most. Her ears are still flopped, she's not house trained and she lopps around chewing and attacking everything like she's still teething. We spoke to them the next day and asked to return her. Even though she's a great dog and loving, we are not in a time or place for a puppy and we werw under he impression we were getting two young adults. The man at the front desk told us to drive around back and they would help us. Instead, the girl we got told us that we weren't trying hard enough, putting in enough effort, and not giving her time and teying to get a perfect dog on day one, but we did with the four year old dog we adopted. The way she spoke toy boyfriend and acted like we didn't know what we were doing was rude. They said they had no room and put us in a wait list and tried to get us to send her somewhere else which is against their policy. We called the next day and the receptionist was rude and sounded disgusted when he heard it was us calling. The same day my boyfriend saw worms in her fresh poop, and we later found out from her documents that she was not given all her shots, only the cheap ones. We finally spoke to Faith the detector and she was amazing and apologized. She was the most help we are still waiting a week later to return her.
We adopted our 4 month old puppy from here, he's the cutest well behaved boy who loves to cuddle and hang out in his outside pool and play football. Give these animals chance to have a good life ❤️
We got Storm 2 years ago and she’s the best adopt don’t shop 🫶🫶
It’s better calling animal control to pick up a stray dog, then taking the dog here. It’s like they don’t wanna help out animals. Rude staff.
Staff - 10/10 very understanding, quick, polite, and provide all that you need! Environment - the pup room is very well taken care of but the adult dogs area wasn't as great the last time I went. I would've wanted to check out more of the adult ones. They take in a ton of dogs and cats from AC and take care of them so nicely. I went in to foster a pup (which ended up being a foster fail) and they provided everything I needed. I wish I could take in more pups from them if they did a transport service to the East Coast. Great job, PVAS!
i'm fostering and they were so sweet and nice, the process was really fast!
