A great organization with a loving staff that really cares about their animals. Definitely fill out the application first so they can start looking at it (they 100% call your references and make sure you are suitable for placement, but also they can help find a dog that will meet your situation). I just adopted the newest member to family, Racer, just recently and not only was the process a smooth one, but they have followed up and offered advice and support even after he came home. I really recommend them.

Really great and very active organization. I have fostered for them and they’re very helpful, always available, and care a lot about each individual dog. I love that they will always take back a dog in need, too. Really sweet staff, the president can be a bit gruff but she is good at what she does. When I’m ready to adopt I will adopt from GFNJ, and will continue to foster for them as well!

I have never been treated so rudely in my life. They have beautiful dogs...it's too bad they don't have as nice a person running it. I paid my $25 application fee and then checked both my phone numbers for a week. After not hearing anything by phone I went to the Valentine adoption gathering. I told Linda who I was, she said she had a few questions for me and then proceeded to make me stand there for 50 minutes while she took care of every other person who came thru the doors. At that point I left. She was so rude I can't imagine why I should be treated like that. I feel like I should be refunded my application fee.
