My experience was very good. My dog got loose and they picked him. They ensured that I was the owner by requesting identification and released him to me. Very welcoming and helpful, you can tell they have a genuine love for animals

The city of Troy doesn't exactly have the most Liberal budget C you can imagine the animal shelter doesn't get much of it. That being said this place is always full of happy people working there and volunteer in more often than not. This shelter works very closely with a no kill animal rescue Nearby so they very rarely ever have to put down any animals at all. It makes you feel good about the place you live to see people making an effort to do something good.
