My recent visit to Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic in Washington was nothing short of a nightmare, primarily due to the unprofessional behavior of the office manager. From the outset, it was evident that customer service was not a priority. The receptionist was indifferent, and the waiting area was disorganized and unclean. However, the real disappointment came when I interacted with the office manager. Not only was she unhelpful, but she was also downright rude. When I requested an explanation of the itemized receipts, she became defensive and hostile. Instead of addressing my concerns, she threatened to kick me out of her office and later even went as far as threatening to involve the police. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, neither of which I received at Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic. Not only did they fail to provide adequate care for my pet, but they also attempted to intimidate me when I raised valid questions about their billing practices. In the end, I left the clinic feeling frustrated and disrespected. I refuse to tolerate such behavior, and I urge others to think twice before entrusting their beloved pets to Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic
We love Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Haggerty extended our golden, Emma's life with removal of a benign gum tumor. It made the quality of her last year *really* good. We are so grateful. And recently Dr. Haggerty spayed our new Golden and she recovered very quickly with little evidence of discomfort. Dr. Young currently helping us through a life threatening issue for our male cat and he is recovering well. All the doctors and staff are so kind and attentive. We are so so appreciative!
Unsolicited opinions and charges I never consented to. I’ve taken lots of personal and foster animals there with no real issues until recently. One of the vets has belittled me the last 2 visits and I’m over it. I was in rescue for years, but decided to research, and get on long waitlists for Schipperkes. Mainly for performance and conformation, but also to potentially breed, since there are not a lot of young people in Schips. He laughed about me being in rescue but also wanting to breed, said it sounded like I had schizophrenia? I let that comment go. Maybe it is hard for some old school folks to understand? He condescendingly asked me if I’ve ever raised a litter before. Um….. yes, about 10 for the Belgian Malinois Rescue. Today he told me my puppy was too skinny, and her hip bones were protruding. When he asked what I was feeding and I said raw, he got very emotional. I researched the raw diet for years before even attempting it. I told him I follow the 80/10/5/5 method. He didn’t even know what that was. But insisted I was doing it wrong. The instructor for the handling class (for show) that had just seen/felt her 2 days prior, agreed with me that she is a normal weight. After trying to avoid any more “hot topics”, he syringed dewormer into her mouth without even asking, then charged me $13 for it. I have bulk dewormer at home that cost the same amount. And he had NO IDEA what my deworming schedule is. I have also learnt of a couple horror stories from here: 1. A “vet tech” here dropped a pregnant Lapponian Herder (rare breed) off the table, causing it to miscarry. She was apart of a 10+ year preservation project, and this would have been her first and last litter. They denied responsibility. 2. My friend was double charged, and when she asked about it, someone started yelling at her in front of the entire lobby calling her a “scammer”. I see other reviewers have similar experiences. I am really not one to write a bad review, but I don’t appreciate being patronized and feeling like everything I say is being judged so harshly.
I had an emergency with my older pitbull and came to the nearest vet I could find to get help. We aren't clients at this clinic but I plan to be going forward because these people truly care about animals. Jessica was at the front desk when I arrived with my dog who was experiencing 106 fever, hyperventilating and on the verge of possible cardiac arrest. Jessica ran right out to my car, jumped in the backseat and grabbed this pitbull she's never seen before to rush her in their facility for care. I'm forever grateful for their service and saving my dog's life. They were busy already and dropped everything to stabilize my girl. I highly recommend this vet.
I hate to give any business a one star but this Vet Clinic has been terrible to me for roughly 8 years. I highly suggest choosing another Clinic for your fur babies. They have been so unprofessional and just flat out rude over the years. Anytime I have walked in, they don't even acknowledge you. They choose to have their own personal conversations in front of you before even greeting you. We took our male dog here to be neutered, and they had asked us if we wanted to have him chipped. We said no thank you, and when we showed up to pick him up they had chipped him. When confronted about it, they hardly cared and charged us anyways. They also have kept an old dog of mine that I no longer have on my chart still, even though I have told them multiple times that I don't have him anymore. I've even written it down on paper for them and they still keep him on my chart 🤔 After all of these awful experiences I had finally left this Clinic for about 4 years, and decided to give them another shot. I needed a check up appointment and to have anti nausea medication prescribed to our dogs. The first girl I talked to was so sweet but since it has been so long she had to have a higher up person speak with me. The second person I spoke with was terrible. Extremely rude. Basically telling me they didn't have time for us, and had absolutely no customer service or compassion. I was honestly just shocked. This clinic is terrible. I'm so glad my friends and family have stopped going here. I have heard multiple bad things about this clinic from others too. If I could give negative stars I would.
I’ve had only an amazing experience with this clinic. Tina has been our dogs vet for 4 years now and she is extremely knowledgable, efficient, and just incredible! All the receptionists and staff are welcoming and helpful, too. Thank you Alder Creek Vet Clinic! We need more vet care everywhere like you!
