Description We are 2 seniors, 70’s, who began this work over 10 years ago. We are solely dependent on social security. We are a dog hospice for abused, handicapped & senior dogs. We take in dogs for life, we never adopt out. Currently we home 19 dogs ranging in size from 4 lbs to 120 lbs and from 2 years to 17 years old. There are no crates, kennels or cages. All of these dogs live with us as family in perfect harmony and love. Many of these dogs are brought to us in very bad shape. They are taken to the vet immediately and everything that can possibly be done is taken care of. Most thrive not just survive once here. There is always someone with them as most have abandonment issues. Each year we are amazed to make it through. We are grateful.

We found a dog abandoned near our home, and through the very quick and efficient online process Mary and Rich have set up, we were contacted within a few days for someone who was willing to foster the sweet girl and get her the care she needed. Rich and Mary are a wonderful couple with big hearts that care deeply about all the dogs (and 2 cats) that live with them. These animals are family members and are treated so well. When you go visit, you are always welcome to sit with a dog or take them outside. They also host an Airbnb with beautiful rooms, and of course, dogs are welcome. Mary runs a Wellness Center, practicing many different modalities, from this location and hosts a Women's Group on Wednesday afternoon, and there is always a dog or two joining the group. If you have a chance, please go visit this amazing shelter.

I had a great experience with Mary and Rich. They were so attentive and helped me re-home my dog. It was a hard decision for our family to make, but Mary was so helpful and made sure that we found the best place for him. She even kept communication with us throughout the entire process. They are the best. I recommend the Petit Tresors Rescue & Sanctuary to everyone. They take them in and treat them as their own.

Thank you so much to Mary who assisted my mom and I with coordinating a rehoming of a dog quickly. She was so prompt in communication, gave us the owners name and number and we set up a meeting right away. I kept in contact with her frequently and sent pictures. A happy adoption was made!

Mary & Rich have the heart of champions. They will accept the dogs that others have forsaken. They share their home with them. They don’t use cold kennels outside. They feed them well. Guests come over for sound healings or Airbnb and can pick up a dog snd love on them. There is no great place like this in America. I can also take them on their large 10 acre property. When can I go there again? Monday or Tuesday !
