This place is very helpful . I didn’t have the funds to take my sick cat to the vet so I gave them a call and they helped me out by sending me to a website that helps people in need of money for vet visits . I then called back and they booked me an appointment for the next day . The workers were very friendly and the services are affordable. Thanks to IVHS my kitty baby is now feeling better . Thank you very much for your help , it’s greatly appreciated 💌! I definitely will be returning :-))
This by far has to be one of the worst "Rescue's" I've visited and worst experience EVER!!!!. A mom abandoned her kitten infront of my home and for 3 days the kitten stayed with the mom cat never to return. I have never experienced anything like this before and was completely new to the entire situation. I decided to get the kitten so that she wouldn't be killed by any coyotes in my area. Due to traveling I am not fit to be a pet parent. With this situation being new to me I came up with the idea to call a pet rescue. So I called the Inland Valley Humane Society and was told that I was within their jurisdiction and that they would take the kitten in. Upon arriving I encountered a very rude and disgusting person named Chelsey. Her attitude and energy was just so disgusting. I walked up to her desk in which she did not greet me and proceeded to just look around. She clearly lacked professionalism and customer service skills. I then decided to speak first and greet her in which she responded as if I were bothering her. I explained the situation to her and informed her that someone on the phone said that the Rescue would take the baby kitten in. She then rudely explained to me that they would not accept the kitten in unless she was injured. I was in disbelief and explained to her that the employee I spoke with on the phone said that they would accept the kitten in. Also I did not live close to the Rescue and came from a distance. Her attitude proceeded to get worse and she reiterated that she would not be taking the kitten in, and she said that I could release the kitten out onto the streets. I explained that the kitten would not survive and would certainly be killed. She didn't care and told me to call other Rescue's. I then left and sat in my car for a bit googling and calling other rescues in nearby areas who all informed me that they were at max capacity. While sitting in my car I noticed 2 ladies in the parking lot that came out of the Rescue. I approached them in hopes that they could provide me with information on what to do or even to see if they wanted to adopt the kitten. It turns out that they both were employees at Inland Valley Humane Society, and they informed me that I should have been given a paper that had a list of other rescues that I could call. Chelsey never gave me that list of resources when I initially came in. I had to then go back in and ask for a the list of resources, again this was never provided to me when I initially came in. I also brought the kitten in wrapped in a small towel and never once was I offered a box to put her in, I had to ask for one. Long story short I couldn't give her to any rescues (which I now know was in the kitten best interest not to be given to a rescue) so I decided to privately find someone through the Ring app that would adopt her. Luckily a sweet and beautiful lady in my neighborhood adopted her and she is living in a loving home and gained to older cat brothers in the process. Over all CHELSEY'S ATTITUDE WAS DISGUSTING, SHE LACKS COMPASSION, LACKS CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, VERY RUDE, AND IS A BAD REPRESENTATION OF THE INLAND VALLEY HUMANE SOCIETY.
Spotted a tiny rattlesnake in the backyard, so we called for assistance. They came right away to help remove the snake. Thanks so much for the speedy service.
I had a very good experience with this Humane Society in Feb 2024. I had never been and when my family and I first got there, we were impressed with how nice it was, and it's huge! This is clearly a well-funded facility. They have a ton of animals and the facilities looked clean and kept up. We wanted to adopt a cat and found a 2 year old cat we really loved. Shout out to Jensen, a volunteer who made the experience 5 star- she was so friendly and fun and gave us the scoop on all the cats. It was near closing so I went back Monday at 1 to adopt (I don't really understand the virtual waiting list). The adoption counselors were very formal and didn't make the process super fun but that's ok- they answered all of my questions, gave me his medical records (he had been hit by a car and they treated all injuries), I filled out all my paperwork and took my new cat home. I would recommend adopting here- I was impressed with the shelter and it seems like they took good care of their animals.
Most of the staff is great and they do great work. I got my dog who passed away recently from there ten years ago when she was three years old at the tkme. She was my ball of sunshine and I'm sure plenty others will fine their own little balls of sunshine at this shelter. I hope to come back soon again when I'm ready to provide another home for another beautiful dog.
They were very nice and caring ..easy to view the doggies and cats ..clean, kind and very helpful in the adoption process. Thank you again, Inland Valley Humane Society
