Description "Each VCA hospital has health and safety protocols in place based on health care best practices as well as state and local guidance and regulations."
I switched to VCA as our primary veterinarian after some emergency visits with them and ongoing issues with our former vet. Last year, our elderly pitbull was ill and they took us in with very little wait time and were incredibly helpful. Several months later, his cancer had progressed to the point where we knew it was time for us to say goodbye. During such a difficult time and decision, their team was so wonderful to us. Losing a furry family member is never easy, but they made us feel comforted in a devastating situation. I decided to switch our other two dogs to their care for our primary vet care soon after, and they have been wonderful since then. The facilities are clean. The staff is kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. They even answer my random questions and concerns about our pets over the phone without having to wait or worry. Grateful for their professional yet personable team.
Ridiculously expensive. Great care by young professionals in a modern building. Possibly the most uncomfortable benches in the waiting room Ive encounter. We came in with our dog having laceration and inflammation. I understand place is 24/7 hospital accommodating vet emergency appointments so price might be higher than regular vet offices. Our dog has been needing suture surgery and a drain, appointment took between 1 and 2 hours. We are thankful for care, drain and the stitches - all went well. Shockingly we ended up being charged 3,100 $ for the appointment. Prices in the VCA clinic are OUTRAGEOUS !!! I have difficulty finding reasons for such ridiculous jacked up pricing.
We recently took our French bulldog to VCA and had an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, we were met with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There was no line, and the staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. The follow-up care was excellent, and to our pleasant surprise, the vet bill was much less than we anticipated. Our dog is now on the mend and back home safe and sound, thanks to the dedicated team at VCA. They were absolutely there for us during a stressful time, and we couldn't be more grateful. Our furchild is on the road to recovery, and we owe it all to the wonderful people at VCA. Highly recommend their services for any pet needs!
These people are some of the most compassionate and professional vets I’ve met. I went there because my cat wasn’t walking, but was wriggling around the floor, yowling in pain, and having trouble breathing. I called ahead and they said to bring him right away. Once I got there, they immediately whisked Charlie (my cat) away to be examined. I was led into a room where the vet gave me the bad news that he had lost use of his legs, had a heart disease that went undetected, a blood clot, and fluid in his lungs. Even if I had them do everything they could so I could take him home, his quality of life would have been awful and his life expectancy would’ve been maybe a year. The vet was calm, professional, and explained everything in precise detail for me. Answering any question I had, and didn’t judge me as I cried. Both the vet and I agreed to put him down. Once that decision was made, I was led into a separate room so I could say goodbye. The room itself was calming, had comfortable couches, and a serene atmosphere. You could tell it was for this very purpose. All the staff was attentive and respectful through the whole ordeal. It was so so hard to say goodbye. None of the staff rushed me. All of them were so understanding. When he finally crossed the rainbow bridge, the vet gave me more time for final goodbyes (once again never rushing). I can never thank them enough for trying to make the whole ordeal easier on me. I know it’s not easy for them either. I could tell the vet wanted to give me better news, to be able to give my baby boy the quality of life he had before. And just knowing he felt for me, empathized with me, helped me feel less alone in my decision. Thank you.
Overall great experience!! The young man Al at the front desk was extremely patient, helpful, professional and friendly while tending to a busy waiting room as soon as we walked in. Dr Bonnett helped our dog and kept us informed through the whole process and communicated every few hours. She made us feel like our dog was in great hands. We will definitely be back!!
I cannot say enough good things about my experience with this vet clinic! They saved my dogs life, and this isn’t the first time. Back in 2018 my dog endured intense heat stroke and was hanging on a thread as far as living goes- they brought him back to life. Now recently, for the past two months I’ve noticed my dogs breathing was off. Besides his breathing there was no other outrageous symptoms but I’ve taken him to a couple different vets within the past 2 months maybe 4 times. Not ONE was able to diagnose him properly. One said his issues could be pain related from arthritis/old age.. one said possible THC poisoning from the dog park. Another said it could be heart related as he’s been diagnosed with a heart murmur a while ago, but a physical showed it wasn’t severe. It was up until Saturday that I took him in for a random out the blue distended abdomen that Dr. Simpson discovered a large mast tumor in his abdomen that she described as it growing for a long time- she was able to find it without x-rays, blood work or a professional ultrasound but I got all of this work done to confirm it which turned out to be true. Her patience, comfort and sympathy in dealing with my MAJOR shock and inability to process the idea of a tumor is forever to be cherished!! Yesterday he had surgery to remove the large mast tumor done by Dr. Sutton and come to find out there was also another mast tumor on the liver which wasn’t found by the ultrasound- she successfully and incredibly removed both tumors with such love and care, with the assistance of her team and Dr. Neal. The kindness, respect, patience and empathy I have received from each and every person from this hospital in all departments will always be held very dearly to my heart- I’m forever grateful for the services they provided for my dog in saving his life and I cannot thank them enough!!! I have been an emotional wreck all week in processing everything regarding my fur baby, and they have supported me throughout it all with such patience, reassurance and compassion- these guys are THEE best, the highest of quality in services, and I couldn’t recommend them any more.
