Description The Zoology Zone Science Center is a hands-on immersive learning science center where science comes alive! From hands of science experiments, giant snakes, huge tortoises, lizards from around the world, even alligators - we have a little bit of everything! The Zoology Zone is also West Virginia's first dedicated 501(c)(3) reptile & amphibian rescue. Our animals are all rehabilitated rescues who are now educational ambassadors for you to learn about their species & also their rescue story! We offer educational programs in all areas of science including field trips, birthday parties, school visits, movie nights, travel programs, and more!

We attended a homeschool field trip at Zoology Zone. It was a great experience! The staff members were wonderful, and we had so much fun. The owner was very knowledgeable, and he taught us so much about science in a couple hours. The zone had many hands on activities for small children, and my older son enjoyed the hurricane simulator. My kids loved the experiments and all the reptiles.

We attended the zoology science center and our experience at the center was great! The next day we came back to play at the park, which is right next to the building. My two year old needed to use the bathroom and we knocked several times at the back door, the employees saw us knocking and completely ignored us. I know that it says that the restroom is not open to the public, but if you see a 2 year old holding themselves, they really gotta go! So we ended up walking several yards to the public restroom, my 2 year old ended peeing themselves.

Super friendly staff. Very accommodating even to my 2-year-old. We love seeing all the snakes and lizards and frogs and turtles/ tortoises. Can't wait to come back for the junior explorers on Wednesday morning!

Had an amazing birthday celebration for my son at Zoology Zone Science Center. The live show with reptiles and amphibians was engaging, and the staff's passion was evident. Please support Zoology Zone Science Center by spreading the word!

We found this place by accident and it was great! We stopped for a playground for the kids while traveling and ended up finding this gem. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Lots of cool animals. We recommend!
