The owner and her staff are AMAZING! Very knowledgeable with all the animals and products. The amount of support and love they put into the rescue is so heart warming. I helped foster Cooper until he found the perfect home. The owner was always checking in about Cooper and made sure I needed everything for him. She’s not only a great business owner but now she is an amazing friend ❤️

They were very helpful with us getting our fish tank set up and stocked. I see a lot of negative comments about the fish tanks being dirty and having some algae..... The only "dirty" I see is water stains, which happens with hard water like we have in Marengo...you can dechlorinate the water for the fish, but the water stains still effect the tank and the filter. I see it in my own tank. As for the algae... It is a fish tank!! It is going to have some algae, fish love it, it's good eatin' for them anyway! I believe they use real plants in some tanks, which will promote algae growth, and it also promotes spawning. Win-win!! A food source, and more fish! Good job Angela and everyone else at Wholesome Petz! :)

I adopted my St. Bernard "Binx" from them and I have to say he is absolutely an amazing dog! I had a good experience with every step of the adoption. The price was on the higher side but considering it is going towards the cost of his neuter then it is well worth it. They also did all his shots and dewormings. A dog of his size alone would be at least 800 to 1000 so it was pretty reasonable if you really think about it. I'm very happy to have Binx and he was the perfect choice for us. Thank you Wholesome pets!
