Called this past Sunday about a baby Great Horned Owl that was hovering around our house.. We felt like we should try a rescue of the bird because there are coyotes and hawks looking to feast on something.. Mark was quick to find Lori to pick up the bird and take it to the facility for evaluation and rescue.. hope it is off and flying soon!
They do such a fabulous job helping out our Raptors. The education about the birds leaves you wanting do know & do more for them. They rescue those they can, rehab., release when able. They care for those that can't be re-released. It's a beautiful thing.
What a neat little place! They are a rescue/rehabilitation center for birds of prey(raptors).Today was an open house day. The birds are beautiful and the staff are very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions you have. They have a release rate a little above 60% which is amazing. I believe the had a few releases just this week!
Lovely little tucked away wildlife preserve ☺️
Very cool place. They were able to rehabilitate 60% of the raptors they took in last year. They had an open house of sorts and our family had a great time seeing and learning about the coolest category of birds ... the predators! Staff were very friendly and the facilities were great. We will be back for sure!
Owls, hawks, falcons, an eagle and a vulture. Good place to visit. I attended one of the open houses. The staff was very friendly and not only told about the birds on exhibit but also information about that kind of bird but also some stories about present and past birds. They rehabilitate birds. Cool place and a good cause
