Ashley & her team are the best dog/people trainers ever! I used Paws On Learning to train my two golden retriever brothers who were quite a handful when they first started training. I have learned so much about my two dogs and they are so much better behaved and most of all they are super happy boys! Ashley is always there for us with group activities for her clients and also responds with any questions I have.

My family recently rescued a dog who needed more training than I was willing to do myself. I started researching dog training, and I came across Paws on Learning when looking for local recommendations. I had never paid for dog training before, so I was hesitant to leave my dog for board and train. I was also worried about the results, especially considering the cost. After doing some research and realizing our need for more training, I decided to contact Ashley at Paws on Learning. She patiently answered my numerous questions and put my mind at ease. I also compared the prices and found that their hourly rate was lower compared to other dog trainers, and I liked that the board and training process provided quicker results. Another great thing was that I could use her training days to go out, knowing that my dog was in good hands, as I hate leaving her home alone since she's still new to our family/house. She also enjoys the staff and socializing with other dogs during her training days. I attended an orientation session, where Ashley provided a wealth of information beyond training, which has been helpful ever since. We scheduled two days each week for training, and every week my family took her out to public places to practice her new skills around other people and dogs. We also practiced at home most days. This consistency paid off, as she quickly started to improve in several areas, and we received compliments on her improved behavior. Walks, car rides, and social outings became less stressful (for both her and me). My daughter, who had some dog fears, also became more relaxed as our dog became calm, relaxed, and obedient. We've also attended a couple of "bonus" training activities offered to clients, which have been great for meeting others, sharing experiences, and learning how to work on different issues. The new app for scheduling is very convenient, and Ashley is quick to respond if I need to contact her. It's been 8 weeks since we rescued our dog, and I feel so much better now than I did when we first got her. I know we wouldn't have made this much progress without Ashley and her team!

Ashley’s team at paws on learning has truly been a life saver! We started off taking our 1 year old dog Cricket to them in hopes of correcting behavioral problems. Ashley and her team were able to adjust the program to fit our needs! Not only did she teach Cricket, but she also taught my husband and I ways to manage and control his behavior in the comfort of our own home! After completing their focus and relaxation course we just couldn’t get enough. Cricket absolutely loves Ashley and loves being able to make new friends during daycare! The ability to continue to be able to drop him off has helped with his social skills tremendously. If you’re debating setting your dog up with training with paws on learning…just do it!!!!! You’ll be glad you did! We can’t thank them enough!

I can't say enough good things about Ashley and her team at Paws on Learning. We just moved to the lowcountry with our 6 year old dog, Sadie. Sadie was having issues with anxiety and obedience. Partly due to the move and partly due to lack of obedience training prior. We decided to enroll her in Paws on Learning based on their comprehensive curriculum and effective techniques they use. Just after a few sessions at Paws on Learning, we noticed significant improvement. Ashley and her team are incredibly knowledgeable, patient and clearly passionate about what they do. They took the time to understand Sadie's needs and tailored the training accordingly. We are so grateful for the positive changes we've seen in Sadie and highly recommend Paws on Learning to anyone in need of a top-notch dog trainer.

Ashley and her team are amazing! Paws on learning provides behavioral drills and training that I simply did not get training my first dog at big box pet stores. She and her team are also always willing to give extra time when needed and advise on issues even if unrelated to the current training program. Daycare program has also been great for our dog that had issues with social anxiety at other daycare programs. Highly recommend!

Paws on Learning has been an excellent place for our 4 year old Lab rescue Prince. Ashley Douglas and all her staff are very dog centric with varying dog training backgrounds. They maximize the 6-8 hours facility training (drop off 8-10 am and pick up 4-6pm) plus the additional plus training visits with dog and owner. I also like the extra Saturday group sessions (included “free” with tips accepted) that aid in socialization.
