Description Capitola Veterinary Hospital has been serving the people and pets of Santa Cruz County for over 20 years. We provide professional but friendly client service combined with state of the art patient care. Our workspace is always kept clean and tidy as we may regularly hire the services of a commercial cleaning company so that our visitors are being treated in a sanitary environment. High sanitary conditions are vital for veterinary clinics. This is why some of them will provide hand sanitizer for guests and staff.

My first experience bringing my senior dog to Capitola Veterinary Hospital was great! The staff was very friendly, and took time getting info about my pet. Dr. Wirga was wonderful. Knowledgeable, informative and easy to talk to. I will continue to use their practice.
I've been using Capitola Veterinary Hospital for the last few years and they've been nothing but amazing with my dogs. With the death of our 13 year old Golden last year, they were not only compassionate, but thorough and supportive of our decisions and next steps. We rescued a Husky this year and they've been wonderful in supporting and encouraging his wellness. They are a pleasure to deal with and I am always confident in the advice and plans to move forward.
You can tell they really care. They took really good care of Einstein. My dog was feeling so good. He finally wanted to start dating girls and I had to take him back to Arizona to live with his girlfriend Punky. They used to live together and they got separated when I moved out due to my divorce and he hasn't seen his girlfriend in 3 years. It was a wonderful reunion. He knew I was leaving him there and said goodbye to me and his girlfriend came out and thanked me and they both went inside to live happily ever after. If it wasn't for Aptos capitola veterinarian hospital, he probably would have been itching his hot spots still and I wouldn't know that he really wanted to be with his girlfriend this is.
Never a wonderful moment, but we had to put our 18 year old cat down from liver and bladder cancers. We fought it for 13 months and he was just losing control of his output. They were so professional and nice to us and helping to painlessly end Alex's suffering.
Less than a year ago, they removed 6 tumors from our small dog. Charged us over $3k. And now the tumors are back. Very disappointed, frustrated, and sad about our sick dog. Get your female dogs spade as early as possible to maybe prevent mammary tumors and definitely get pet insurance. Good luck.
I took my precious ,small ,older dog in for a seizure. We were treated with kindness and respect. Due to cost we have opted to use another clinic for her dental issues However I hope to keep taking Anna to Dr May.
