Wait in line for your turn but my dog loves them the vet is friendly and likes dogs. They seem to care about every animal and do a good job of taking care of as many as possible.

I can't say enough good things about this vet. It is a first come first serve, wait in your car to be called place. Having a small dog, it's super important to keep him safe while we wait and there is no safer place than the car! The staff here are amazing and they don't charge you an arm and a leg for visits. Dr. Shiarella's and his staff is doing God's work by helping us lower income folks afford care for our fur babies. I appreciate them!

I have a sick rat that I brought in today after getting the recommendation from a breeder. This place is amazing! The visit was quick and efficient. I will definitely consider bringing all my pets, not just my exotics, to this place. It was well worth the long drive and waiting in my car.

Western Animal USED to be wonderful. We brought our last dog to them for years, even after moving. They took care of our dog when he was young and healthy, and showed us the greatest compassion and care as he aged and eventually passed. We loved this practice so much that, now after 10 years of not having dogs, I was thrilled to learn that they were still in practice and drove over and hour to come see them. Their new receptionist was so incredibly rude. She answered the clinic door as I was trying to read the checkin instructions and promptly handed me a piece of paper citing new hours as she rushed me away. I tried to tell her that I had spoken to Cheryl, she interrupted and said “Cheryl has been here 40 years, she didn’t tell you anything different from what I’m saying” (understandably, I arrived after accepted walk-in hours, but she didn’t even give me a chance to explain that I was dropping off a sample and could come back during afternoon hours). Thankfully, when I decided to knock again and ask if I could just leave the sample, Cheryl answered and treated me like a customer rather than a burden. As I talked to Cheryl, the new receptionist snickered, snorted, and rolled her eyes as I explained what was bringing us in. Sadly. We paid for a stool study and ultimately decided to go to another vet where we can schedule an appointment. We called to try to at least get the stool results (they said they would only call us if test was positive, but actually never explained what all they were testing for and never returned the phone call.) Terrible, terrible experience.

After two of our vets in the neighborhood closed, we found ourselves struggling to find a good vet for our pets. Especially the cats who can be difficult to handle unless you are an experienced vet. After visiting other vets who overcharged for unnecessary tests, food, and on-going treatments, and clearly hadn’t a clue on how to handle cats, I am so pleased to have found this vet who is highly experienced, honest, knowledgeable, and very reasonable in treatment costs! While the walk in clinic requires you to come early and wait, it is worth it to wait in line for non-emergencies.

The Dr here truly cares about your pets!!! He is amazing, informative and happy to help. He helped with my dogs broken leg. And it’s Worth the wait. This will be my new vet clinic from now on. The staff here is also amazing and friendly. Highly recommend.
