I really don’t understand the negative reviews for the shelter itself. We went to several stores/shelters today looking for an adoption. This facility absolutely put the most care into their animals and the staff were very knowledgeable about each pet. They were also the most pleasant group of people I dealt with all day.

Called in after hours. For a dog that was laying in our yard on piece of clothing Yhe dog kept whimpering, it would not come near me and my mom called the emergency number. Because I believed the dog was abandoned and didn’t know the area. I was concerned about a car hitting the dog. The lady, I talked to on the phone was nice. It’s the officer I have a problem with. Now I understand there was nothing this Officer could do to help me. If the dog wasn’t seen in sight. But when I said the dog didn’t have a collar on and I had never seen this dog before. The officer kinda just shrugged it off and said well maybe the dog was heading back home. Why would a dog that knows the AREA???? be laying on a piece of clothing in a yard and WHIMPERING.

Very beyond rude to say the least! Have dealt with this Shelter two times. The first wasn't that bad because I had a really nice man to help me and he was very warm and accommodating. But the second time, I had to deal with a Foster lady taking care of one of the animals and she was terribly rude and disrespectful. When I spoke with someone that works at the Shelter even they weren't nice to me and made me feel like I was bothering them at that. I could've given a peace of my mind but they aren't worth it and I try to do better than that with people that are mean and disrespectful. The public needs to know how places are ran. So thank goodness for feedback and reviews.

Inept & useless. In the case of the small, tethered dog attacked by 2 bigger dogs. The small dog was tied by rope and left outside in the heat while it's owner was at work & her husband was home! Why was the dog tethered outside? The 2 bigger dogs were euthanized nothing was done to the owner of the small dog. In my opinion she should have been charged with animal cruelty. I know of at least 3 cases where Campbell Co responded too chained dogs left in the heat, no shade, water or food and nothing was done. All 3 dogs died after animal control came and did nothing.

I walk dogs who have been abandoned. They are mostly very young, enthusiastic, and hoping for a good home. Please come and help if you can. You will be helping both dogs and cats and yourself!
