I have been going to this clinic for about ten years now and I have nothing but good things to say. The entire staff is friendly, efficient and, most importantly, compassionate. I have two dogs and two cats and wouldn't take them anywhere else. I have never had a problem with wait times when I schedule an appointment in advance. They have even gotten me in much earlier in an emergency situation. To be honest, I have never questioned the pricing because I feel the level of service and care I and my pets have received is worth what they charge. Shout out to Dr. Dave and Dr. Lennox!

I wish I could give this place a billion stars. Our beloved family dog of 12 years came to this hospital often, for check up’s and procedures and everything in between. Each time my family was so impressed with the professionalism displayed here and the compassion. And when the time came for us to say goodbye to our precious pup, Dr. Lennox was a real life angel and a great source of comfort during our goodbye. We loved the staff here, and we highly recommend these doctors and staff to anyone looking for quality care for their beloved pets. Thank you AV Animal Hospital for all you’ve done and continue to do!

EDITED TO ADD: Dr. Dave heard about what happened and called me. He was as attentive and sweet to me as he is with the pets. Changing my rating to a 4 because he really is an amazing person and doctor. ----------- 2 stars because I do like the doctors. Zero stars for the staff. I brought my 5 month old puppy in today to have her nails trimmed - by the way, they charge $31 for this simple service!! Anyway, my puppy has been there at least 5 times for all of her shots. Never had a problem with her barking or growling at all, she's a baby. Well today, a tech named Julie tried to take my puppy and she growled. In front of a waiting room full of people, Julie loudly said "you're gonna have to put a muzzle on her if she's gonna act like that" and then walked away. I was so embarrassed. Julie returned with 2 muzzles. I stood there, fumbling to get a muzzle on my tiny 5 pound puppy, while Julie and all of the other patrons watched. Once I was finally able to get the muzzle on my puppy, I had to try to tighten it one-handed, while not trapping my puppy's hair in it. Julie then grabbed my puppy and disappeared. In hindsight, I should've just left the second Julie clearly didn't want to deal with my puppy. When Julie returned, she apologized for the way she acted, but I was so mortified, it didn't even matter. I paid the $31 bill for trimming my puppy's nails and left. Got home, and my puppy is now limping?? She was not limping before.

Five stars is not enough. My family and I first came here a couple months ago, sadly we were there to put our family dog down. Doctor Dave came in with love and compassion for everyone, he let us sit to hold our boy, then slowly walked us through the process of what he was doing. Once it happened, he stayed in the room with us talking with us to comfort. Unfortunately, yesterday my dog woke up in the morning struggling to breath. We rushed her in and instantly helped us. Once diagnosed our baby girl had to spend time in the oxygen tank. Throughout the day doctors and staff called to give updates. Once they closed for the night I was given an excellent place to take my dog for the night. First thing this morning Dr. Dave has called to check on our girl.

Dr. Dave and his caring staff helped me take care of my German Shep/Mix for almost 16 years. They are caring, kind, considerate, professional but most of all they are deeply concerned for our animals, who can't speak for themselves. They hear your pet when they are hurting and they hear you, too! They are trustworthy and the best at what they do. Thank you Dr. Dave and all of your staff for 16 wonderful years with "Cado the Wonder Dog"! - Christine D.
