Very well run by compassionate people who obviously love cats. The habitats are spacious and clean and full of toys. We were chosen by this handsome guy and adopted him the same day.

First impression is that it's a warehouse of cats... but once you look around and spend time with the cats, you will be amazed how well they take care of them all. The volunteers and staff are so kind! I visited a couple times and met many wonderful cats, then fell in love with my two *dream* cats, which I've had now for over a year. They are the most amazing part of my life, and have such sweet and fun demeanors, thanks to the love they received in the care of Animal House Cat Rescue! The staff even brought the cats to my house to make sure it would be a good home. I highly recommend adopting from this location!

I was at Animal House to drop off a cat that was found down near Cape Gireadeau. The people who run the rescue are very nice and helpful. The facility was very clean, and the cats had plenty of room to move around in their kennels. If you are looking for a feline companion, I suggest you check out Animal House or any the mulitude of resues in the St Louis area. ADOPT DON'T BUY!

By the grace of God a kind stranger scooped up our lost cat off the street and took him here. They tell us he was covered in fleas, very sick, and close to death. By the time we found him and met Pam, one of the sweet souls that volunteers / works here, he was well on the mend. Thanks to Pam and the other volunteers at animal house our family is back together and safe. They did not make us feel like bad pet parents and honestly, they had every right to. They educated us, instead of judging us for putting our cat in danger. Thanks to you our cat literally has a second chance at life & we have a chance to do better. He’s laying here next to me now purring. We thank you and love you Animal House.
