Description U-Vet Animal Clinic is one of only three AAHA-accredited veterinary practices in the Tri-State, and it is the only one that is family owned. U-Vet offers a unique, state-of-the-art CO2 Laser used in soft tissue surgical procedures for tumors or anal gland removal to decrease pain by sealing nerve endings, decrease bleeding by sealing vessels, and speed recovery by reducing inflammation. The clinic also offers customized behavior consultation and exceptional medical care for exotic pets: birds, reptiles, ferrets, rabbits, rodents, amphibians, marsupials, and hedgehogs. Our staff will do whatever it takes to make you and your pet feel comfortable within our clinic.

My puppy, Billie, has been going to this vet clinic since we first got her in March. She's given us a few scares since then but this clinic is welcoming and devoted to their patients. They give us clear cut answers to all of our questions and have been willing to work with us and steer us towards being the best new puppy parents we can be. They've also seen both of our cats and Tiger, our most combative feline, was treated with dignity and respect - something that was lacking at the last clinic and made us consider changing offices in the first place once we got Billie. It was ultimately a blessing that we found a place like U-Vet!

My dog Basil ate something he shouldn’t and had a bad blockage all through his digestive tract. I called first this in the morning and they were able to get him in right away to be seen. They were very diligent in running tests all day to make sure everything was just right before the surgery. Dr. Yu stayed after closing time to perform this 4 hour surgery. After this complex surgery that ended at 9:30pm, he called me and gave me an in-depth update of everything. Dr. Yu also came back at midnight to tend to Basil and give him more medicine. He devoted about 6 hours of overtime just to my dog. Dr. Yu gave me the option to take my dog to a surgical specialist in Louisville, but I elected to stay with Dr. Yu performing the surgery. Dr. Yu is a Purdue Veterinary graduate. Being a Boilermaker myself, I will always put my faith in Purdue grads. I know how prestigious Purdue Vet school is, and Basil’s case put that schooling to the test. My Momma instincts told me he was in good hands with Dr. Yu. If you are looking for a vet for your pet, this is my first-hand account that the staff at U-Vet is excellent. The receptionists gave me updates throughout the day and the vet staff kept him comfortable until he could come home. They made this process as smooth as it could be.

The staff are amazing. My sons pet rat was very sick and they were able to squeeze us in right away the day after Christmas. We were visiting family for the holidays and had never even been to U-Vet before. The vet was very helpful and knowledgeable. We ended up having to make the decision to put him down and all the staff were so kind. They gave as much time as we needed to say goodbye. They even made a little card with his paw prints for our kids.

I’ve seen these folks more than any pet parent would like in recent weeks. Everyone I spoke to was kind and patient with us. I saw Dr. Yu first, and my kitty has never handled vaccinations better - we even did three in a row. Later, they worked to get us in the same day when we had an emergency, and while Dr. Yu was away we were seen by Dr. Turpen, who was amazing while I was lowkey in panic mode. She spent probably too much time humoring my questions but she never treated us like she was watching the clock. Punkin is feeling much better now! We are thankful to the entire staff for their hard work!

My boy cat, Gatto, was so sick! He was wheezing, not eating or drinking! Dr Katherine was so kind and careing to him! Now 5 days later he is just about back to his old self and doing great !

Started coming here 4 months ago and pur Dog Lizzie is already getting use to the people working there. We are very pleased with the Doctors, Techs and Front desk with not only the way they take care of our girl, but how nice and thorough they are with pet parents. GREAT JOB TO ALL THERE!!
