Our sweet Great Dane, Sway, had a life threatening emergency related to a twisted tummy and related internal bleeding. The staff were extremely attentive and responsive, getting to work as soon as we walked through the door. Dr. Sulik was extremely kind while being transparent about the associated risks. Fortunately, Sway made it through a very difficult surgery thanks to the skills of the entire staff that day. We were able to see our girl soon after her surgery since she had to stay in hospital to be monitored overnight. The staff was so kind to send us updates throughout the evening and the following morning. We are able to take Sway home today to finish her recovery at home, again due to the expert care and knowledge of the veterinary staff. All things considered, I could not have asked for a better experience! Everyone on staff from the receptionists, to the vet techs and veterinarians were PHENOMENAL! It is clear that they all love the work they do treating every family and fur baby with empathy and care. My family and I are forever grateful for saving our sweet Sway!
Amazing experience here! Brought my dog in for an emergency checkup because we thought he broke his leg - Dr. Pierce and his staff were FANTASTIC! Got us in super quickly (it's first come first serve so we got lucky that it was quiet) and were really understanding when Jasper got anxious in the waiting room. Dr. Pierce talked us through all his findings and the results and told us not to hesitate if we had any follow up questions. Definitely recommend if you need a vet at odd hours as they're open 24/7!
It has taken me awhile to write this, but I knew I still had to make sure to get it done. Our Willa girl had ended up with a GI blockage March 2024 and I took her to Denver Animal Emergency which was our first experience with them. The team did everything they could to treat and save Willa, but unfortunately we made the hard decision to end her suffering because of how far gone she ended up being. I cannot say enough good things or recommend Denver Animal Emergency high enough. The entire team was amazing with how fast they got her into surgery, explained everything in detail, updated and communicated with me constantly, were open and honest about her scope of care and quality of life state. They treated her with such care and compassion, along with treating myself and my husband the same. One of the worst days of my life was made more manageable because of the great care that was given. The entire team was great, but I have to mention how amazing Dr. Sulik was. She did everything she could for my Willa girl, I felt confident of that the entire time. Despite how busy she was with so many things happening at once, she always made sure I was given full communication on everything going on and that she researched every possible scenario for her plan of care. Thank you so much from my broken heart. Willa will never be forgotten.
I had brought my senior dog that fought a long, hard battle with cancer in to be euthanized. They have a special area where you can spend time with your pet before and after. I held him wrapped in a soft blanket like he was a baby until he took his final breath. The staff was extremely caring and considerate. I had brought one of my other dogs in on a holiday for some minor emergency surgery, and received excellent care. They also accept care credit. I would highly recommend the Denver Animal Emergency Clinic.
Hands down the best experience I have ever had in the 18 years being of a pet owner. They treat you and your fur-baby with the upmost respect, care and sensitivity. I called originally spoke to a very sweet woman who gave me the ropes of what to do and what to expect. I get there call in, another nice lady comes to my car (have not told her any of my information at all so no idea how they did this expect for my dogs name or phone number), knew my dogs unique circumstance bc she mentioned the other lady told her. Clearly their communication with one another is amazing and the system they use amazing. It just made me feel safe when I first arrived I didn’t have to re-explain Gracelyn liver shunt correction, she already knew, this has never happened before, EVER! Essentially I compare it to the chick-fli-a drive through, they had it all together. Onto the next great experience, when the vet saw me start to cry because they had to keep Gracelyn Marie overnight, she immediately told me when I brought her dinner back I could visit with her. When I got back I didn’t even have to ask, they put me in a room and brought her to me. Let me walk her and spend time with her, despite how busy they seemed with all the cars in the parking lot. Every staff member was beyond polite, professional, compassionate and as the client you could not tell how busy they were, and they were busy. You mattered in the moment and it showed through every time I interacted with them. The vet/vet techs and staff even took the time to send me a picture of Gracelyn Marie being bossy towards the staff. This made my whole night as she wasn’t with me because they noticed how emotional I was about not having her for the night, despite knowing she was going to be in what I now know was the best care. She has been discharged, but still kept the chat open and 12 hours post discharge are responding to my questions. They are very open, honest, and set clear expectations as you are going through this emergency time with your pet. If you want a place where they hear you, listen to you, value your pet and prioritize you and your pet in the moments they are spending with you, even if it’s 35 minutes away (like it was for me) choose this place. You will not regret the drive. Despite how amazing they are, I truly hope I don’t have to see them again lol 😂 but if my fur-babies end up in an emergency situation, I will always be loyal to this place, that made me feel safe, heard, comfortable and made Gracelyn Marie feel that way too despite her, as the vet tech said, glass shattering squeal throughout the night. Which is the real Gracelyn Marie attitude coming through, sorry about that staff, she’s a whole diva! Also, their attention to detail throughout the establishment is amazing. The coffee, drinks and snacks offered, cushions on the benches, benches outback for you to visit with your pet, a very CLEAN, area to walk your pet just blew my mind. Have never been to an establishment that essentially knows you will be there for a while and accommodates for it. Thank each and every one of the staff from the bottom of my heart, you made a difficult time easy to manage.❤️
My cat was stung or bit my an insect and had a bad reaction. My vet was closed so I took him here. The staff was extremely friendly and caring. I did have a little bit of a wait, but there were animals who needed more immediate care so I didn’t mind. To be honest, the bill was less than a regular visit at my vet, and he received 3 injections. I have nothing negative to say. I will return if needed in the future. Thank you all for everything you do!
