We love this Veterinarian for our two YorkiePoos. Everyone is great. We love Scott. He takes his time to explain everything and does the best he can to keep costs down. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a Vet

When I moved to Lake Wales, this was the vet I picked for my dog. I had Dr. Scott who was awesome when I went and took her for her initial visit. He was aware she was almost 15 years old said it was normal aging and sent us on our way, he did put her on kidney food to help her kidneys that were failing. Receptionist was supposed to give me a sample, now she knows it’s a dog, but I got cat food which I bought back and was not offered any dog food and my dog wouldn’t eat the $50 kibble. In late October, I bought my dog and it took three days to get it an appointment she could not walk by by the third day she was able to walk a little they did an x-ray. They read the x-ray. They showed me her intestines that had particles, and wanted to know if I knew what that could be, which I had no idea I was told she heard crackling in the dogs lungs but the x-ray didn’t show anything cost me just under $600 I was offered a pill pack for four pills cost me $16. I asked if I could have a refill for chewy and was told yes a week later chewy tells me it was denied so when I called, I was told unless I came in and approved more test on a 15-year-old dog cost starting at $600 they would not refill the pain meds. Last week I tried calling didn’t get an answer so I brought the dog in because she could not walk at all. She was having trouble breathing and she just was very lethargic. I was told the vet was out for lunch and she would not returned until 2 o’clock, which she had a 2 o’clock appointment if I wanted to sit with this dog in pain and wait for an opening I could, I decided to go ahead to the animal hospital the reception mentioned. They examined her right away. They put us in a room at this point they did a sonogram of her lungs believe it was a mass and suspected fluids. he said they could do more test he explained them, and then I asked him was my 15-year-old dog and pain and he said yes, so at this point being on fixed income I chose to euthanize my dog so she wasn’t suffering anymore. not everyone has thousands of dollars to save their pet and to be charging people and not make them aware of their pet being in pain and refusing pain meds. It’s just wrong. I don’t want another pet. My heart broke on 12/11/2023. This vet should go back to school and learn some compassion.

Always extremely busy. Expect to wait 15-20 mins each visit before being seen. I brought my cat in for surgery to remove a growth and after dropping $1,500 for surgery they didn't even reach out post surgery to schedule the stitch removal. It is clear this Vet is passing the high cost of their vet school on to the consumer, as the vet recommended and later demanded the most expensive options in order to perform the surgery on my cat. After checking pricing at other vets they have the least competitive pricing around.

We had our little angel, Ruby, euthanized at VCA. Needless to say, this was the most difficult situation for us. I strongly feel that it was the staff at VCA that helped us through. They were loving, compassionate, caring and gentle and I cannot say enough about this wonderful team. They put together the most beautiful memorial package filled with love and keepsakes of our beautiful little girl.💗. I am forever grateful.

Came in for my puppies 1st year check up. The dr was very nice. My puppy was calm and had no problems with the check up or the way the Dr. Took blood.

Don’t bring your cat here. Or your dog probably, unless they’re a K-9 unit I would guess. Neither the tech nor the vet had any compassion or respect for my son. We went in for a simple rabies shot, got overcharged for things we didn’t ask for, and he contracted something fatal in the meantime. Tech mandhandled him without saying a word to build any trust and the doctor tried to send him home with an open wound in his ear. We all know what animal lovers look like. This is not it. Go somewhere else please.
