Tried to adopt a dog that was on euthanasia list but nobody answers the phone so Drove a half hour thinking at least someone would be around to feed, water, take the dogs out but not the case. I guess they sit I. Filthy kennels all Weekend with no humane interaction.

Came to my door threatening me (im 7 months pregnant there was no need to treat me like that) over stray cats that they approved me to catch in a trap. Once I told them I took them to a rescue Gary proceeded to threaten me about my amazing dogs. Told me I have so many days to get them registered and vaccinated (they already are 🤔) or he was going to take them. Ive lived in Arnold with my dogs for 10 years and have never been told this. There was no reason to be hostile to a pregnant woman the way Gary was. I can only imagine how he talks to his wife or husband no judgement here 🤣😏 you get treated how you treat people remember that Gary!

My daughter had to give up her kitten recently because her finances took a hit from personal property taxes...another jefferson county fail...I encouraged her to take him here because I've dealt with the man that drives the rc truck and he is very kind. However, the woman in the office was cruel. People trying to do the right thing for their pet, shouldnt be treated like criminals. Imagine if someone had to give up their human child and were treated this way! Most people relinquishing their fur baby are devastated. Having to walk through those doors is punishment enough.

I called on Friday to make an appointment to look at a cat named Max Monday (today )at noon . I called this morning to ask what kind of food he was eating and they told me they had no record of me making an appointment and someone was coming to get him today. We live over a hour away and I am so glad I didn’t just drive down there and they tell me all of this. So now my son will be upset that we didn’t get him a orange cat like his old one the passed away of cancer. They also told me that no one spoke to me and they have no clue what I was talking about. They also told me my appointment was at noon on Friday the 6th and not today. Funny because I called about 2:30 / 3 o’clock Friday. So how is that even possible. They seem very unprofessional there and we will never try and rescue an animal from them ever again.

I found a cat on the exit ramp by circle k…the lady behind the desk was so rude…I had called that morning to let them know I found the cat..they told me to take it to Jefferson county animal control so I made the drive and they said no take it to Arnold…and when I got there she said wait didn’t you call yesterday saying you found this cat..with the biggest Attitude and I simply told her no that was this morning and I went to her you told me to go and they told me to bring it back here.. She then proceeded to tell the guy to make sure that he gets my ID..like I’m just trying to get this cat off the street..didn’t have to be so rude

Workers are nice and place is clean. However said time was up on dogs and cats and they had majority of the cat cages empty and only one dog and many empty dog cages. That's cruel. So adopt from here people
