I have been coming to Feeder's in Fairborn since they opened. The amount of neglected animals I have seen in this store is devastating. Today when I went in was the last straw. I feel that this store neglects their birds and reptiles the worst. I actually bought a bird from here after coming in for months seeing this poor little bird sitting in a dark corner in a cage with one dowel rod perch in it that isn't even good for birds to stand on for long periods of time. They will develop sores. They now have a Yellow Parrot named Cher in the store and my heart breaks for this bird. Her wings were clipped shorter than I have ever seen. ALL OF THEM. They take a year or more to be replaced with new feathers. The water in the cage was green and had bird poop and feathers floating in it. The state of her food was terrible and there was nothing fresh. The rest of the cage was covered in bird poop and on top of that this parrot is being kept in a cage that is FAR TOO SMALL. She has no sunlight or any type of light source. She is not the first bird I have seen in this store in such a state but she better be the last. When I got to the register and asked the employee working if they clipped they feathers that short, she said they did. I also told her about the state of the birds water, not even mentioning how terrible the cage looked and I got nothing at all from her. Not, oh I will change the water right away or anything. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE WELFARE OF THESE BIRDS AT ALL. FEEDERS PET SUPPLY, STOP NEGLECTING BIRDS IN YOUR STORE. STOP SELLING ANIMALS THAT YOUR EMPLOYEES DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CARE FOR.
This store has went down hill since they got rid of the male manager. He was so nice and helpful. I bathed my two German shepherds here two to three times a week for about a year starting 8/2022. We didn’t have grass so they were always muddy. The last two times the staff have been rude and inconvenienced. The bleached blond lady had an attitude that I came in an hour and a half before close. And the most recent time the lady told me she only had one room and I could only have two towels! I have two 100lb dogs. What am I going to do with two hand towels? I’ll go somewhere else now. It’s cheaper by Walmart anyway and they are nice at least.
The lady with the blackish gray hair and the glasses should not be in customer service. We've been going here with our dogs since this location has opened and it has always been wonderful service. But today we were treated so rudely. We arrived at 7 p.m to wash our dogs and when we went to pay beforehand, she said you have to be done by 8 which is in less than 45 min (also teach her to do math because that's an hour... unless she is lazy and wants us out early so she doesn't have to stay to clean) and then just stares at us with this face. It was like she wanted us to leave! There's no way we can wash and dry both our dogs in that amount of time (90 pound dogs long hair each). So we left... we HAD to! I felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable. It's not what she said it's HOW she said it! She needs to get a different job. I was honestly so surprised because all the workers here have been lovely! Hopefully we won't have to deal with her again!
By far the worst pet store I’ve ever been to. From the rude management to the lack of selection in the pets they do try to sell to the price of pretty much every thing in the store. You are better off finding a different pet store. Used to love feeders but they are now run like a petco
I love this pet store. It’s right off 675 in Fairborn by Kroger. The people are amazingly knowledgeable/friendly & the cages for their animals/fish tanks are so clean! They have a great selection of toys, treats, & accessories. You can also give your dog a bath there so that was the first stop when I adopted my German Shepherd. I have two cats also and they have a great selection for them as well. A+++++
I decided to make this my pet store instead of the large pet chain I had been using...especially since they advertised a "walk-in" nail clinic. I saw that they opened at 9am today Sunday March 24 so I waited till 10am so they could open. My dog has problems with anxiety so I gave him his vet recommended medication and drove a half an hour to get him a nail trim. The staff called me "hun" and said there's no way she could trim his nails because the other staff doesn't come till noon. I said it says nothing like that on the website and she said it goes store by store. I said I WAS on the Fairborn store website and she gave me another snarky "it goes store by store". She said "besides you have to have proof of Rabies (like I was the biggest rabies rule breaking criminal). I said "he has his tag on him" She said "NO you have to have the rabies paper...ANYONE can make a tag". Sigh. The paper was with me in my purse. I bought nail clippers and took my frightened dog for the half hour drive home. He's sleeping now. With really long nails. I won't be back
