This is the worst animal shelter I have ever been to. I’m step father of 10 years killed himself and they refused to take the dog because I wasn’t blood to him and didn’t have a will to prove that he was left to me. They continued to tell me that I need to take him to Cincinnati even though the dog is in my care right here in Boone county. I watched them turn away two other people and animals in need while I was there.

Boone County Animal Care & Control is amazingly helpful with any animal issue. They are professional and work fast providing solutions to people and animals in order to find new pets/homes. Personnel is highly trained to provide assistance either over the phone with answers to different questions or in person, being kind and nice to the animals. KUDOS to Boone County Animal Care & Control.

We had to surrender our cat Luna and her 5 kittens and had appointment scheduled to do so because we are currently homeless and was best thing to do for them and we were treated really bad when we surrounded our babies and the woman at front desk made us feel even more upset than needed to be .....we were just waiting to do the right thing this is an example of why lots of people do not do the right thing .....
