This is my favorite thrift store in Ocean County all the women there and the gentleman that works there are the nicest kindest people. All items are always in great condition. This place deserves five stars. The women are extremely helpful and it’s such a happy place. Great music very cheerful great vibe great items. Great prices.

Please do not do any business with this Shelter. Had a very bad experience. I gave my cat to them because I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to have pets at my new residence. I called to see if I could adopt him back. After a whole year of battling with them to try to get my cat back. The cat that I spent every waking moment with, adored, and loved. The director finally told me that he got adopted and went to a good home. A friend of mine called the next day to inquire about my cat and they said that he was still there. They were basically disregarding my desire to re-adopt my cat and would rather see it in a cage. Everybody there should be fired. Especially the director. I even contacted Brick Police to see if I can get a mediator. But, I just left it alone. Please, do not….I repeat, DO NOT go to this animal shelter. They dislike people with mental illness, they lie to their consumers, and they have made ME feel extreme anxiety, depression and grief. Shame on you, Jersey Shore Animal Shelter. Shame on you for handling your business like prejudice, lying, ignorant people. Everybody save yourself the trouble and grief.

Happy to write a positive review for Jersey Shore Animal Shelter. I adopted a kitten in 2021 from here! (He is pictured more recently in the photo attached.) I was impressed with the care and attention they give their animals. From the moment I walked in, I could tell the place was unique (the thrift shop combo!?) and truly cares about its animals and goes above and beyond to make sure they are happy, healthy, and well-matched for homes. The staff at the shelter, particularly Natalie, were friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. I found the application process straight-forward and they gave me all the information I needed. Overall, I highly recommend this pet shelter to another looking to adopt.

I feel awful for these dogs. Place needs new management. Put in for a dog 3 weeks ago. Filled out application and everything. Have a fenced in yard with a stay and me or my wife are always home. Would have been a great home for the dog. However never heard back. I just figured they found a better home for him. No harm no foul. However looked today and the poor dog is still there. I called just out of curiosity as I adopted a dog already and they said the dog was still available. So basically they just disregarded my family for some reason and thought the dog would be better in a Kennel . So I decided to write on Reddit about my experience and long and behold there was about 100 replies all with the same situation at this place. Whoever runs it should be fired asap, they are doing more harm then good to these poor animals.

if you're looking to adopt a new furry friend i HIGHLY recommend jersey shore animal center. i just adopted my cat and they sent me home with so many goodies for him. they really care about each and every single animal there and take such good care of them. 100% recommend adopting through them ❤️

This is the best shelter with people who really care about the animals and who adopts them !! I adopted a puppy named Orchid and she has been nothing but a joy for us. They had her all fixed and shots were done and gave me a crate and toys and everything I needed to her. They started training her already! I can’t say enough , please adopt from here or donate to them !!!
