Description * * * WE ARE NOT A SHELTER * * * OUR PRIMARY MISSION: For The Love Of Alex, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that funds emergency and life-saving veterinary care for pets of low-income households. We strive for a successful outcome for pets and an enhanced quality of life for their human companions. Since 2013, our vital support has helped pet parents avoid surrendering their pets to a shelter or economic euthanasia due to financial hardship. Our mission is truly a labor of love, mending broken hearts and keeping families whole.
This non profit has helped me with my cat that needed emergency surgery for a broken leg that I couldn’t afford. Carla has been amazing the whole time and the process has been smooth. I greatly appreciate them. If you have the extra cash and want to donate to a good cause. I recommend donating to this organization.
A feral cat had kittens in our garage and we took in the runt of the litter. Cloud had a twisted leg and he had fading kitten syndrome so we had to feed him and give him antibiotics for an eye infection so that he could live. Unfortunately his eye nor his leg could be saved. The vet told us that he needed enucleation to close his empty eye lid and leg amputation to remove the twisted leg, which caused him pain. Unable to pay for the much needed surgeries, For The Love of Alex stepped in to assist. After surgery Cloud is doing amazing and we are so thankful for this organization. It has been a God send!
I had no idea that vet bills cost as much if not more then people when things go terribly wrong with your pet. I was already approved for carecredit, but my limit was reached, and the vets weren't done yet. Thanks to For the Love of Alex, I was able take home our shelter kitty. We still have to keep an eye on him. Unfortunately our kitty was put together special. Hopefully we don't ever have to go back besides routine maintenance. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and even checks up on your pet after they are home. His hair is growing back and my ten year old daughter is ecstatic that we didn't have to put him down. Thanks for all your help FTLOA. Our kitten would be crossing that rainbow bridge without you.
If it wasn’t for the Love of Alex my emotional support would’ve been paralyzed and in ALOT of pain!! I can not say it enough!! THANK YOU
Hello my name is Gail warnke and I want to let everyone know what a great help for the love of Alex was for me and my best friend "dog" odyssey. There organization saved her life. In January odyssey developed a mass that kept bleeding and wouldn't stop. I couldn't afford the surgery to help her. In December I heard about, for the love of Alex and applied online, in just a few days I was approved for help. I was so happy, and grateful finally to have help to save her life. For the love of Alex helped through the whole process. Made everything easy, now odyssey is recovering from her surgery. I'm so thankful for all the help I received from for the love of Alex that I could not afford or provided. Without their help I would have lost her years before her time. She's all I have in this world, I'm an only child. God bless for the love of Alex. Thank you so much for your help.
One year ago today we almost lost our sweet puppy.....Wheezy was 8 months old and had a blockage in his intestinal track!! He would have died without surgery and there was no way we could come up with the $2,300 needed. But thanks to For the Love of Alex and all the generous donors of this amazing charity Wheezy was able to get that life saving surgery and we are able to love, spoil, and celebrate him (along with the rest of our mini zoo) every single day!!! There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t thank God for this amazing charity and all the people who make it possible!!! From the bottom of my heart, we thank you all!!!!!!
