Description "This 142-acre ranch in Alpine, CA is a sanctuary for abused and abandoned big cats, bears and exotic animals, providing them with a safe haven and lifetime home to live with dignity."
I have volunteered for Lions, Tigers and Bears since 2016. The founder, Bobbi Brink, works tirelessly to give the rescued animals the life they deserve. Some have come from the entertainment industry, private ownership, exotic animal trade, so-called zoos, cub petting and other illegal arenas. You can go on an educational visit Wednesday through Saturday and learn the stories of these beautiful animals. This definitely is my happy place.
What an amazing experience!! Getting to see these animals up close and was breathtaking. All the animals are so well cared for. My husband and I were able to feed Louie the lion and Suri lioness, Nola the white tiger and Conga a super cute leopard. So cool!! Beautiful property. Our tour guide was kind, very informative, knew so much about each animal and answered all of our questions. Had such an amazing time.
What a great find. The day spent at the park was fantastic. The tour guide was very good and the exhibits were very nice and the animals were very active. Buy tickets before getting to the park to make it easier. Love what they do for rescues. Will go back to support this cause.
This oasis is home to wide variety of rescued exotic animals (lions, tigers, bears, a jaguar, leopard, plus many more!). Everyone was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and noticeably caring of all the animals. I will definitely be coming back more frequently to support the amazing work Bobbi and her team do.
This was such a phenomenal experience! Because of the weather we didn't get to see the bears but just another reason to come back! Bonus because of the weather our group was super small so it felt like a private tour! The staff are so kind, so knowledgeable, & it is clear the primary focus of the sanctuary is the animals well being & education, not pandering/entertaining the public. The work they are doing is so important & it was an entertaining & educational outing!
We were not sure what to expect on our first visit to Lions Tigers & Bears, but were more than impressed with the conservation and rescue going on here. We were shocked to learn about the rescues and abuse these beautiful cats and bears endured in Hollywood, private collectors or other zoos. We met Bobbi Brink, Founder Lions Tigers & Bears while here and her passion and compassion were evident! She and her staff love on these beutiful animals and nurse them back to health and restore their quality of life. The tour of the grounds is fun and very educational. Alpine can get very hot and very cold depending on the month you visit Bobbi Lions Tigers & Bears, so bring sunscreen, hats, jackets and dress for hiking as this tour is a jaunt an very rural. It's worht the drive here and you'll be helping donate to this cause just by buying a ticket. They do make their cause and donation needs known, but they are not pushy and it's very relaxed here.
