Was extremely excited having talked to Sue and Andrea (liaison) about scheduling a home visit with Argos. Sue took down my number and gave it to the liaison who then contacted me. I spoke with the liaison on Friday afternoon for 17 minutes, letting her know my current pets (goofy golden retriever and stubborn bunny who has his own room in the house), my current living situation (own my home, but do not have fenced in backyard). The conversation left off extremely hopeful and optimistic. I was told by Andrea that she needed to reach out to the foster to coordinate a dog park visit followed by a home visit with both the foster mom and my schedule. I gave my work days/hours and was told to wait for a response back. Saturday, nothing. Sunday, nothing. Then Sunday evening, Argos is posted all over Facebook again. So naturally, I inquire if everything is okay. My texts to the liaison are marked read, but not responded to. I decided to call the rescue and speak with Sue. Suddenly, there appears to have been a “miscommunication”. I was told that the website and “forms” make it clear that not having a fenced in backyard is an absolute dealbreaker and I “should have known”. As an attorney, I read any and all fine print. There is no mention of a fence on the forms or website. And while I understand the need for one, I also realize that not every single “big” dog owner has a fenced in yard. Do Rottweilers just not exist in big cities or apartments?! No, they grow into a routine and adapt with their owners. Not to mention, I did let the liaison know I was in the hunt for a bigger house with a fenced in backyard. Additionally, when I addressed these concerns with Sue, she was rude and abrupt. She told me that dogs need exercise — how condescending! As if I don’t know that and don’t already provide that for my golden. I also thought it was a bit weird that when I mentioned taking my dog to a dog park, Sue scoffed at the idea due to a new illness that has dogs “DYING” (now, I did read up on this and saw it to be true, albeit Sue’s description being rather exaggerated; however, it was Andrea the liaison’s idea to meet there first). All in all, I am extremely disappointed with how unprofessionally, rudely, and condescendingly this was all handled. A simple call or text back or maybe even letting me know during our 17 minute phone call would have been appreciated! I will be searching for another rescue who doesn’t leave prospective owners in the dark and who don’t make up excuses.

Called to inquire about any puppies or young Rotties available for adoption and Sue got very rude with me stating, with an attitude "We are a rescue, we never have puppies!". She would not let me talk as, you never know puppies may have been abandoned. But she would not let me speak and then ask about any available young dogs. She told me "don't get puffy". I was just trying to speak to her. I would have really thought that if they are trying to allow these beautiful and amazing animals to be adopted they would be more personable and would let people inquire about them I will never contact them again. Very unprofessional!

I've had the pleasure of adopting twice from RSRR, both time Evelyn Garner was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and truly enjoyable to spend time with while she introduced the dogs available for adoption. I will also recommend this group to any of my friends looking to adopt a Rottie.

Rescued Maggie a few years ago. They were great to work with and Mags is such a great dog. We love her.

Owner, was extremely helpful and very honest. He saved me from making an impulsive purchase from a puppy factory pet store don't want me to save a little more money and buy a purebred puppy from a private breeder many less health problems and issues which I can't thank him enough for I totally recommend this breeder.

I heard good things about this place. However,I reached out to the owner by email and phone and was unable to schedule an appointment to go visit the dogs. I had to go elsewhere to purchase a newborn puppy.
