Made an emergency appointment at 12 pm for an X-ray later that night for my dog suspecting a broken leg. No one mentioned that they would have to sedate my pup and he would have to fast before the X-ray so I was sent away and told to call my primary vet in the AM. I said, ‘I wish someone would have told me when I made the appointment’. Per vet, ‘our technicians don’t know enough to tell people that’. My pup is 6 months old, and barks at everything. My dog is vocal, that doesn’t make him aggressive. UPDATE: I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my pup here to be admitted after the vet told me they couldn’t X-ray unsedated. I took my pup to his regular vet the next day. They were able to get nine images of his broken bones with no issues being unsedated. The vet was even able to manipulate his foot, and I was told he just gave the tech kisses the whole time. We ended up spending less than 1/3 of the original quote from here. Every time I bring him in for an update X-ray now, the techs there joke, ‘oh no here comes the big scary dog. Everyone watch out!’ :D
My cat was sick late at night lying in his litter box crying.I called emergency at 5 am and they got me an appointment at 8am.They took Buddy in as soon as possible because it was possibly life threatening. It was my first time at the vets with my cat.I was impressed with the professionalism and kindness of the staff! They took care of Buddy and he's back to his old self!I cant thank Harmony animal hospital enough my new vet! Thank you for saving Buddy! I give them five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Sincerely ,John Nebiolo
I’m always such a wreck when I have to take a sick kitty to the vet, especially in emergency situations. My little boy cat had a ruptured anal gland, so I called Harmony on the verge of sobbing to reserve a spot for him. This staff is absolutely wonderful and assured me that he was going to be just fine. They were very transparent about his treatment and pricing as well. He is home safe now and recovering. I am so grateful for these incredible humans who work through the night to offer emergency care for our smol animols 🫶 Thank you so much!
I’d rate this group way over five stars if I could! The emergency services are absolutely amazing, especially the staff. The overnight staff was incredibly attentive and kind from the minute I stepped through the door, to the moment I left. My kitten, Mousse, was very sick with a fever, and when we picked him up after his 24 hour treatment, he was back to his usual self and feeling so much better :) I’m so grateful for how well they handled him, and the situation, thank you Harmony Animal Hospital!! :)
I made an appointment for an emergency vet visit for my dog that has a hematoma of the ear. Dr. Cortney Luce treated the ear infection but told us that we did not need to drain the ear, the medication should have been enough since we caught it early. Fast forward a month later and my dogs ear is still engorged. I called to make a follow up appointment with the expectation that we would have to do the surgery to drain the ear and accrue additional charges for that, however, the hospital is telling me that we would have to pay an additional emergency fee of $165. I do not feel that we should be charged an additional emergency fee for following their recommendation. Had we been insistent that they drained the ear anyway, it would have been $165 cheaper a month ago and my dogs ear would already be healed. Now I need to pay more money for a procedure that we attempted to address a month ago! I am not complaining about the additional expenses for the surgery, that was expected, I am extremely disappointed in the fact that they are seeking an additional $165 fee for following a treatment plan that Dr. Luce recommended that did not work.
Our poor cat has been having a lot of sinus congestion (snot) and issues recently. She has been on so many different antibiotics that we know something else is going on at this point. And we are still currently in the middle of trying to figure things out. However, she was scheduled for a procedure to get things looked at, at our normal vets office but her symptoms became really bad about a week and half prior to her procedure. Her breathing was delayed, she couldn't sleep and her runny nose was nonstop. I am not a fan of transferring care since information can become lost and the the new Dr. now needs to become familiar with a whole new animal in minutes. So I was a bit nervous and unsure of what to expect when we got there. But since our vets office is not an emergency vet they referred us to Harmony Animal hospital. We were able to get in for an emergency visit that night. Harmony staff and Dr. Epple were extremely nice and helpful during that time. When we walked in one of the techs who was working the front desk was very attentive and kind. Asked us many questions regarding our cat and what brought us in. My fears were put to rest when we saw Dr. Epple who was very attentive as well and took the time to listen to me (which I greatly appreciated) explain why we were there and our cats entire health history up to that point. I also did a lot of research prior to coming in that evening so I could ask some questions and see what his professional opinion would be. Dr. Google is not always right but after working in the health care field, I've learned the best thing you could do is come in with questions and research. If you have the ability or time to do so. I also understand how some doctors can be very dismissive. However, Dr. Epple was not and gave us some great advice and suggestions, on top of giving our cat a much needed steroid shot and pills. She was feeling much better the next day and was able to get her to her procedure and now to other vet visits she needs. I am very grateful for the kind staff and Dr. Epple for helping us out.
