Excellent Vet Hospital! Everyone was friendly and worked well with our young Boston Terrier. They were able to work her in for an appointment very soon. The next day after her visit, they called to check on Dolly to make sure that she did not have any reaction. Great prices for treatment too! We highly recommend this Animal Hospital!

Copied from my Facebook: I just need to take a second and praise the staff and doctors over at Heartland Animal Hospital in Marion. A few weeks ago I took the cats in for their annual exams and they recommended that my sweet little Mae girl get her teeth cleaned, and that some would need pulled. She’s been my most expensive kiddo, as this was her 3rd surgery in the 5 years I’ve had her, with this being her 2nd dental procedure. This was our first visit with Heartland, as I was looking into finding a new care team for my fur-kids. When Mae went in for her dental procedure a week later, the vets at Heartland found something wrong with her heart. This is where they went above and beyond the level of excellence I’ve ever expected to receive from a veterinary team. They immediately stopped the procedure, and got in contact with me to schedule further testing. They did two separate rounds of testing, one requiring a special animal cardiologist to come into the Heartland clinic and visit with Mae. The results from her specialist heart exam showed an abnormality. It’s all fancy medical talk. From what I know, she will need routine heart exams every 9-12 months in order to stay on top of her developing condition. The heart condition is unclear, but they know that whatever it is, it’s in a very early stage. So we continue the testing to stay ahead of it. As well as the annual cardiologist exam, we’ve been given some tests to run at home monthly to monitor Mae’s health. I think most people wouldn’t want to throw $800 at a heart exam for a cat every 9-12 months. For me, it’s a way to ensure she has a healthy and pain free rest of her life. Whatever caused her to fail her ECG is still developing, and I trust this team to tell me when enough is enough for my little Mae. And there’s no team I would trust more than these folks over at Heartland Vet. I know that I can rest easy when the time comes to make the call for little Mae to cross the Rainbow Bridge, because I know that this team will be there to support her and me every step of the way. If you’re looking for a new vet, or even if you aren’t. I encourage you to visit the folks at Heartland Vet in Marion. You will pay more than some of the other clinics in town. But these people and the level of care they provide is above all of the rest. And it is worth every penny. A huge thing for me has been patient education. They spend so much time teaching me and explaining everything about my pets. When Willow got her second case of kennel cough a few weeks ago, and then got pneumonia on top of that, her care team there did everything possible to get her taken care of quickly and safely. They care for your pets as though they are their own, it shows, it matters, and it’s worth it. Knowing I have this team on my side in the battle of taking care of FIVE pets, helps ease so much anxiety in making sure they have proper medical care. I can’t thank the Heartland Vet Clinic enough for all of their support, education, and professionalism these last few weeks. They’ve built lasting relationships with me and with my fur-kids. They’re truly amazing.

I absolutely love this vet. They got me in to check up on my dog who has seizures. He wasn’t acting him self, has had runny stools and puking the last couple days. Took him in and got checked right away. They listen to what you have to say and actually care about your animals. My boy is being him self now and wanting to play. Is eating his dog food. Will always go here for my pets needs. They gave him meds to try and help with his stools and puking.

My husband and I had to put our 17 (almost 18) year old baby boy Herkey down today. I cannot thank the staff enough for their care and empathy during this awful time. Dr. Mangold and the rest of the staff, Casey the tech that greeted us and was very sweet and helpful and Julia, I believe, at the front desk helped to make this heartbreaking process as bearable and comfortable as possible.

Excellent service. They listened to all my concerns. Took good care of my girls. Worked well with Josie trying to get her nails cut but failed. But now know what I go thru. Excellent with Maya.

Was a great experience! Staff was great. They treated Binx like their own and even called me the next day to see how he was. He had gotten his rabies shot. I highly recommend them.
