Terrific place to find some treasure while supporting a great mission! I thrift ALOT and this store stood out as: VERY ORGANIZED Clean, well stocked with a bit of everything, quality, great displays and kind staff. I will be driving 2 hours to come back and will also be stopping back in at the cafe to refuel and get some home cooked lunch. Sweet little town square!
I love to support small business and especially when they are part of an animal rescue or shelter. I have sat on this for a couple months. I was shopping at the thrift store and went to check out, when I was at the register the girl helping me told me it was buy one get one and immediately afterward my husband called me and I forgot to pick out my free shirt. I went to Walmart and on the way home remembered it was bogo so I stopped and ran in to get my free shirt. The girls in the store know me, I spend between 50.00 to 100.00 each time I shop there. I told the girl at the register I forgot to get my free shirt and I was going to go pick it out, she said no that I couldn’t because she wasn’t the one who checked me out, so I asked for the girl who did and she had left for the day, I was frustrated and asked when she was working again and the girl didn’t know, another worker said “how do we know you didn’t already take one” very loud and so all the customers around heard her. To say it was embarrassing is an understatement!!!! I have worked retail my whole life and have never seen anything so rude and unnecessary. I do not shop there anymore, I am still embarrassed and livid that in a small town where people know one another I was treated this way. The employees need a course on customer service and being kind. I now just donate to the shelter.
Started poking into this store recently and I really enjoy it. I’ve found some great products to snag !
Pick of the Litter.....I give this business a 5 star rating. WHY? Because of the vast inventory they carry, the cleanliness of the store, their location to the community, the way they present their items, and 2 special things. 1- their friendly and courteous attitude, and 2-their love of animals. I love all animals and I believe they do too, having seen their various mascots of the store and the loving way they are taken care of. Next, the people of the store can't do enough to help you, in any way. I look forward to scratching Skittles when I go in. I would like to name off everyone but I personally only know 3, Gavin, Martha and my sweet friend Dixie. Please go to this store and buy what you can before buying new things or donate what you don't need instead of throwing it away or giving it away. They really could use your help. And I love Animal Advocates too. They do all they can to help the animals. It takes a special person to do what they do. Remember the animals didn't ask to be born, but they do ask only to love their humans and be loved in return. You have many things in your world, but to them, YOU ARE their world!
Love this place always something to buy and organized well , very clean!
We met our dog on the street a few times, but we were reluctant to take her as she appeared to have pups somewhere unknown. We hadn't seen her for a while and then she turned up online as CC picked up by animal control along with offspring at the Country Cupboard down the street, and transferred to Animal Advocates. We went to see her there a couple of times and get reacquainted, and we brought her home after she was spayed. Her new name is Fonda, and she's now our best friend.
