The Happy Animal Sanctuary is indeed a happy little place where the animals are well taken care of. The owner Tim is very knowledgeable and is more than happy to share his knowledge of the animals, their care, and even how the greenhouse works. He has an amazing hydroponics system in place with decorative and edible plants and that completes this self sustaining sanctuary. This is a perfect place to bring kids if you you want them to learn about volunteering, hands-ons eco biology, animal care, and zero waste. Real life experience is 100 times better than any zoom lesson.

You can tell the animals are very happy here. They are continuing to make improvements to make it even more comfortable for the animals and expanding to be able to provide a safe haven for even more animals.

This is a absolutely wonderful place to learn about plant care, caring for animals, and basic carpentry. I lived and worked here January through February of 2021 and even through the cold winter months Tim, the owner, made every day engaging and a positive experience. He's a cool dude and is a wonderful caretaker to the animals. He has a lot of big ideas that he's impressively created in such a short time and can see him actively pursue. It's a fantastic place to volunteer and work with what you're passionate about. I'll be coming back to volunteer often. I am excited to have found The Happy Animal Sanctuary look forward to seeing it grow.

It was such a treat to visit this sanctuary whose animals are clearly well-cared for & treated with the utmost compassion. The owner is a kind & gentle man who took the time to show us the ins & outs of the place & answer all our questions. The interactions with the chickens, ducks, & dogs were extremely therapeutic & the calm, relaxing aura of the sanctuary was an additional bonus as Tim allowed us to sit in his garden during sunset opposite the bird coop. We were also led through greenhouses where we saw beautiful plants & fish being bred. To witness the unconditional love that is shown to these rescue animals is inspiring & a visit to this sanctuary is highly recommended.

I had a great day at this small sanctuary. The dogs are super friendly and the birds are definitely characters. If you are looking for a place to volunteer that has a great mission, this is it!
