Description Founded in 1891, the Chemung SPCA is one of the oldest continuously operating animal welfare organizations in the nation. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life for companion animals in Chemung County and surrounding areas by promoting better futures for pets and their people. This is accomplished by offering affordable spay/neuter and medical services, a pet food pantry, re-homing of cats and dogs, and more.

Took my adorable little land shark here to be neutered on 04/14/2024. Staff was very polite and helpful. They were very situationally aware and maintained professional control when another puppy showed some nervous behavior. Would definitely recommend them if needed

I am honestly blown away with this establishment (in the best way). The people are all incredible and great at what they do, the business itself is an amazing source for well cared for animals needing homes and they have an amazing turn over. These people are actual super heroes 🖤

Utilized the Spay/Neuter Clinic for both my shepherds as well as my grandparents cavapoo. Highly recommend! They were very understanding with my shepherds and put my mind at ease knowing I could trust my babies in their care!

I buy my flea prevention medication there and everyone is always so welcoming and friendly. I got my lil kitty from them last February and often make donations to the shelter to help his friends! I found out today that you can sponsor an animal by covering the cost of their adoption, senior cats are $50. I'm doing it next month to help a lil guy or gal find a home!!

Awesome staff, and the process was easy to get my awesome puppy (Sonic). I even had to contact them regarding my puppy not feeling well, and I got a response within 1 hour. Megan is awesome! Thank you, SPCA!

I recently had to surrender my dog to the Chemung County SPCA due to severe health issues that I was dealing with. I shared this information with a person who used to be my best friend. Said friend proceeded to contact the SPCA and get important information about the dog, which he chose to turn into a lengthy slanderous post about me. Does anyone know if there are privacy laws governing the SPCA? I am in the process of finding the answer to this question. If I find the correct answer there is definitely a lawsuit coming!!
