We always receive fabulous care at Southgate!! We brought our pom, Lucy, in an emergency situation last week and she was seen right away. She is doing great, and they called first thing in the morning to check on her. The staff provide the finest care in town. Our family is so grateful! Thank you, Mike and Annie
Dr. Shaw was lovely! Very capable! Managed my naughty fur boy with ease, even getting a good blood draw, and trimming his fanny feathers. My thanks to her team cause without them everything would have been lots harder!! I love my boy, but I also know him well, and he really can be a handful!
I love this Clinic! They are very sweet & understanding. Wait is not long & they always made sure I was happy. I always feel supported, & felt that my questions were always treated with kindness. My puppy had to deal with so much with her skin & they reassured me to help her thrive. Thankfully & gratefully she is! 🤍🤍🤍
We have 2 puppies and we've seen a couple different doctors here. No complaints. They're easy visits. I feel our dogs are well cared for. And the staff has always been very nice to us.
As usual, everyone I encounter at Southgate is absolutely stellar -- patient, kind to my excitable dog, willing to explain in detail the issues at hand. I wouldn't take my beloved animals any where else. Southgate doctors and staff are of the highest quality, I am grateful to have them in our lives.
I’ve been using Southgate for at least 20 years. The vets are great, no complaints really. The front desk staff and vet techs lack any sort of customer service skills, consistently. I was shocked when I had asked for a phone consult to discuss end of life stuff for my 14 year old dog, I started crying on the phone (naturally, it’s hard) and the tone didn’t change to offer any sympathy from the front desk tech, she immediate asked for credit card payment, which was just so out of touch and she had zero compassion. A different front desk tech who was trying to process an online order for my dogs ibuprofen, and there was issues with the chewy website order so I was trying to get it filled through them, and she wanted to make sure I ‘wasn’t double dipping’ which were her words, and that made me feel…. Odd? I don’t know why she would assume I would want/need to do that, but it was a weird thing to say to a customer who has been loyal for 20+ years. Again, the vets are fine, and there is ONE vet tech who is a veteran (been there for years that is great,) but the front desk folks need some serious help/training, however I don’t think you can teach compassion, or kindness?
