I’ve been to Tabby’s Place before but never wrote a review. Today my daughter and I did the “Paws To Read” event here and it was amazing! Just like any other times I’ve visited this place the volunteers were very welcoming and friendly. You can tell how much they care for their cats from the hard work and effort they put in. The place is very clean and the cats are well taken care of. Posted are just 3 out of many more sweet kitties! The Calico named Rashida is who we read to today. What a sweetheart! Looking forward to our next visit!
These folks are terrific. We took my granddaughter there for a days outing. She loved it. It was a week ago, and she hasn't topped smiling since. Basically, all these people do is love and take care of debilitating or somehow handicapped cats who would otherwise be put down. True kindness.
An absolutely amazing place. It's clean, organized, and most importantly centered on the cats and kittens well being. They care for cats of all shapes and sizes and keep them living the best life they can possibly get.
This was my first time visiting Tabby's Place, and I was very impressed with the care of the cats there. I enjoyed my tour and visiting with the cats so much. Thank you for taking the time to show me this wonderful place.
After 8 months of battling with rehoming our cat, researching, reaching out to family members to take her. I reached out to Tabby’s place for help. We have a newborn coming and moving a family member in that’s severely allergic to cats. I reached out for help and was giving resources to “keep our cat” “ways to keep the baby safe”. Told that rehoming the cat will stress the cat out. It’s not easy reaching out for help to muster up the strength to make a HARD decision especially for your new child and being told “please explore all options” “we encourage you to have hope” as if we didn’t do our research and cried our eyes about a decision we have to make. It was quite upsetting and invalidating for an already difficult decision. Although this place seems great they should really consider this approach of shaming people when people are coming to them for assistance.
What can I say about Tabby's Place? The description is in the name - it is a sanctuary for cats in dire situations. I have served as a volunteer for over 10 years, been a board member, and now am a hospice foster. My soul-cat Sirius came from Tabby's Place. I live too far away now to be on the board or visit regularly, but still provide fostering services for terminally ill cats. Tabby's Place is what this world needs - a place for the unwanted, the unadoptable. (And yet - those cats are still sometimes adopted!) It is entirely funded by donations and the new wing under construction will allow for FeLV+ kitties. Tabby's Place is truly a haven for cats. Even outside their doors, they serve TNR operations. Photos are of my current Tabby's Place hospice foster. He was born with severe congenital kidney disease. He will spend his short life with me in a private home, wholly loved, and well cared for. This is their mission, and it is my mission, too. Cats are wonderful creatures; humans do not deserve them. The best we can do is Tabby's Place.
