Got to see the Elgin facility for the first time... I'm so glad to see such a big, nice place where all our wild cousins can be cared for when they are found orphaned or injured. When I was in undergrad for wildlife biology, I remember the professors would sometimes mock wildlife rehabs because "we manage for the mean, not the individual"... but I believe when you help someone, you may not change the whole world but you change *their* whole world. Thank you for changing worlds.

This is the rehabilitation center where wild animal intakes are diagnosed, treated, temporarily sheltered, nourished then finally released back into thr wild where they can thrive and help keep our environmental ecology in balance

I rescued a baby red Shoulder Hawk. Took him to Elgin Austin Wildlife rescue. He will have a surrogate to feed him along with another baby hawk. Thank you for all you do for our wildlife. God bless!!!
