We are so happy to have found Marilla (now Maggie) through FOA! The reason we chose her was not only her sweet picture on their adoption website but also the excellent write-up they posted describing not only her physical heath (vaccinated, chipped, neutered, etc) but also her personality. She is exactly as they described, and we love having her join our family❤️

This is the 2nd time we have adopted from FOA, both times were wonderful. The staff are helpful and know all the animals personalities. We recently adopted a cat and he has been great!

They moved fast to get our adoption completed. I sent my application, was approved, met our lovely new cat, and brought her home all in the same day! They gave us advice for helping her adjust to the new home, and let us know we can always call if we needed any further help. I've worked with other rescues before and can say this is a great group doing great work to help animals find their forever homes successfully. Thank you for helping us complete our family!

We loved our experience with FOA! We have wanted a small dog for a while, but believe in the "adopt, don't shop" motto. We were thrilled to find FOA with so many small dogs and puppies. It was well worth the 4 hour drive from Omaha. Adopting our little fireball was so much easier, less stressful, and cheaper than our adoption 8 years ago from the humane society here in Omaha. We recommend FOA to all our friends and family who are looking for a new pet and plan to contact them in the future when we decide to grow our fur family again. Thank you FOA staff and foster parents for taking such good care of our baby boy. You are all awesome!

The ladies were kind and helpful. The facility, while a bit run down it was clean and neat. We absolutely love our little girl that we adopted, and she is getting along great!
