Description Herd of Hope Horse Rescue is committed to rescuing horses from the auction slaughter line to provide them with a safe and nurturing place to call home. We offer rescue, rehabilitation, and permanent placement to abused, neglected, and at-risk equines. Many Herd of Hope horses had difficult lives as work horses, were passed from owner to owner, and/or have never experienced affection and consistency. We provide each of our horses with the care, training, and space they need to recover—emotionally and physically—and we provide it for as long as they need it. Our goal is to gain the horses’ trust; restore their faith in human-animal relationships; demonstrate for them consistent and compassionate care and find forever homes for them.
