Very nice staff who love the animals and care for them the best they can. We adopted Jackson, who was in their care for 11 months. Our application was approved very quickly (in advance). I appreciate that they seek the most appropriate placement for the animals and that they expect adopters to be able to provide the care the pet needs. We love Jackson—what a GOOD boy!💕

This shelter is hands down the best shelter i have worked with. Their adoption process was smooth, they were very communicative and had a quick response time. They want to ensure that each animal will be a good fit. Their love and care for these animals is shown in their intentionality and we traveled 2.5 hours one way because of this.

The ladies here are just lovely and so helpful! I fell in love with a kitten up for adoption at petsmart, but he was sent back because he was sick. They held onto him for me until I could take him home, and gave me medicine to take home. I recommend adopting from this shelter before the pet stores for sure! It was a cheaper adoption fee AND they are so great with the animals.

The staff are all very helpful and knowledgeable. They carry so much on their shoulders caring for these animals day in and day out. The stories they have heard and the animals that come to them are in all kinds of shape, some better than others. Their jobs are very hard as they're not only a non-stop physical job but also a very emotional job too. Hats off to all of you for doing all you do to help these animals find their forever homes. 💖

i adopted my sweet boy Benji from white river humane society a little over a month ago and they were so nice and responsive! i came from georgia to adopt him and they worked with me so well. he’s been the greatest addition to my life and i’m so thankful for white river humane society for helping me adopt him! he is doing amazing with his forever family! thank you guys!!!
