We have been using Rancho Pet Hospital for years. They take excellent care of our girls. This week our elderly dog was in for dental surgery. The office kept us informed of changes to the estimate and how she was doing during surgery. The Dr's and staff really care for the pets entrusted to them.

We like them. Our dogs like them. Rancho Pet Hospital has been by our sides from puppy to the Rainbow Bridge. From mouth`s full of teeth. To mouth left with few. We use them for our doggy's dentistry.

Dr. Pasumarthi and his staff are truly exceptional in considering pets AND their humans. Vet and staff were particularly kind and considerate as I was particularly concerned about what could have been a disfiguring eye surgery... Came out beautifully! Very grateful, too, for pricing that is not astronomical.

On August 24th, 2023, Rancho Pet Hospital performed a teeth cleaning on my dog, during which he was put under anesthesia. However, following the procedure, I noticed that his testicles appeared more scrunched up than usual. At first, I assumed this might be a temporary side effect of the anesthesia. A few days later, though, I observed that the skin on his testicles was peeling and had a burnt appearance. Concerned about our dog's condition, my wife contacted Rancho Pet Hospital, and a staff member at the front desk mentioned that they use heating pads during teeth cleanings, suggesting that this might have caused the issue. Subsequently, a doctor from the hospital called and recommended applying Vaseline to the affected area as a potential remedy. Unfortunately, our dog's condition did not improve, and we became increasingly worried. We decided to seek a second opinion and took him to the VCA Pet Hospital. There, they confirmed that his testicles had indeed been burned, and they expressed skepticism about the effectiveness of using Vaseline as a solution, stating that it would not likely provide any substantial relief. I was left with a scarred dog and another vet bill.

Been a good experience so far. Saw them with an elderly cat with facial swelling. They got us right in. Overall treatment costs have been reasonable. No extras were recommended which was nice. I haven't met the Dr though only spoken to him on the phone. So far so good. I'll bring my other pets too.

Brought my dog to see why he was having stomach issues. The vet spend less than 10 mins with us and barely touched my dog. I didn’t take too much issues with that. Took blood sample and fecal for lab work. Was told someone would call me when the test results came back. After 4 days of no calls, I called the vet. I was told an email was sent. The email told me the lab results came back normal and told to “use prescribed probiotics and if no improvements use prescription diet biome.” The tech didn’t know what the diet biome was so I asked for the vet to call since now my dog is now not eating. The vet tech called instead. She ran off a list of antibiotics meds to put my dog on and to do an x-Ray. NO ONE EXPLAINED WHY! The vet finally got on the phone and didn’t even know the updates of my dog. The vet reiterated what he wrote on email! The vet said try a different probiotic or prescription food. How do we go from antibiotics and X-rays to probiotics?! I don’t expect vets to know everything but at least explain why you’re giving me probiotics or that it may be the food I’m feeding my dog that’s causing stomach issues; let explore. My issue is there is no explanation of why things were being prescribed or suggested. Having a sick pet is scary thing; They are our babies. The vet can work on bedside manners and take the time to do some talking. Not the place to take your pet if you want some information.
