Someone turned in my puppy. Had no problems getting him out. Now he's registered and has a chip. Everyone was very nice and it was really clean.
I called up there looking for my dog because i noticed he was being used as their advertisement for more attention from the public and I mean my dog was huge and he was a very pretty handsome boy.(I searched for months before someone sent me a screenshot of their page and he was right there on the front of it.) His name was Khane they renamed him Bobo (stupidest name but okay) and watched him be returned multiple times more than 4x while I was calling up there the entire time trying to get him back. He was left with a friend I thought I could trust and got out of their fence one day. BARC is shady, weird, and nothing but full of snakes and methheads. They also say they’re a no kill shelter but still put animals down.
Informed them I was cominh to get a dog the next day, tried to pay in advance? They said no, gave the dog to another family. I understand, we are in East Texas!!!!
They are such an amazing organization! We adopted 2 fur babies!
This is one of Anderson County's hardest working organizations. There's a huge problem with dumped, abandoned, and abused animals. BARC is in the trenches doing what they can to save, rehabilitate, and rehome as many fur babies as possible. BARC is one of the nonprofit organizations I support. I believe they are making a difference in the community and are good stewards of the resources they manage.
Good place, full of awesome furry best friends looking to be loved. Staff very helpful and friendly.
