I could not be more grateful to Tom at Upstate Wildlife Rescue. First of all, he returned my call within minutes of me leaving a message. He had another stop to make before ours, but he kept in touch with me via text messages to let me know exactly when he would be to our house. He was at our house approximately one hour after me contacting him. We had a squirrel caught in a cage fence and there was no way my husband and I could release the squirrel. He was caught with no way to get out, and surely would have died. It only took Tom a minute to assess the situation and release that poor animal without any further damage to the animal or the cage, (which I really didn’t care that much about. I was more concerned about the squirrel). Tom was friendly and efficient and a real pleasure to speak with. He answered several other questions for us also. Great guy, great job! Thanks so much, Tom!

I recently called Tom when I discovered that a raccoon had set up residence in my house. (I surprised the “guest” while he was eating out of my cats’ dish.) He answered right away, told me his ETA, and texted me when he was on the way. The raccoon was hiding in the basement and very evasive, but Tom worked patiently and got him into the cage, unharmed. We talked about where he was going to release the critter, and he even sent me a video of the raccoon leaving the cage and lumbering off into his new home! *great interaction with Tom and great outcome*

Tom from Upstate NY Wildlife Control came to my home to help me with a wildlife problem. He returned my phone call promptly. He kept in touch with me by text to let me know his schedule. When he arrived, he immediately diagnosed my issue. He spent a lot of time explaining the situation to me and what I could do about it myself before involving his methods to deal with it. He answered my many many questions and responded to my concerns, and would not charge me for his time and knowledge. I have done the things he suggested and so far I have had no other issues. But I will not hesitate to call Tom back to help me if needed. He is a wealth of knowledge and he is very kind and patient.

Tom was amazing to deal with throughout our ordeal with a bat. Prompt response, excellent communication and he was able to come over quickly to help out. Can’t recommend him enough. We will definitely call him again next time an issue arises.

Tom is a lifesaver! A bat got into my mom's house in the middle of the night. It was 1am and I didn't have a lot of hope of finding someone so late, but Tom answered the phone immediately and started heading over to her house right away. He promptly caught the bat and identified how it got in the house. My mom thought he did such a great job she hired him to come do a full inspection of the house to determine if there's anywhere else bats can get in. I cannot recommend Tom enough!
