I hesitated to write this review simply because when I had a dealing with Officer Byrd I could not say enough wonderful things. I wrote a very nice letter to her Sergeant. My son’s 2 dogs were picked up as one is truly an escape artist. The Pit suffers from a skin issue which has been addressed by several vets and I must agree he looks dreadful. But he is being treated currently for Red mange with Steroids as of yet it hasn’t worked. When I arrived to pick them up Christie was not only extremely unprofessional but condensending and accusatory of“Animal abuse” I took her words quite seriously as anyone in the town and surrounding states knows the work that I do and have done .I urge you to please look at my Facebook and see the work that I do on a daily basis and have done for 25 years. I take great offense to be accused of abuse. Great offense. When I picked them up I asked why would one dog look fine and the other not? Would be rather odd to abuse one dog and not the other. That should have been and educated animal person to say hummm looks like a skin problem as the other dog looks fine. Their are actually 3 dogs and I’ll post pictures of her as well, she is happy and very healthy. While walking the dogs to the car she made an inference to getting back her leashes….. I can assure you I would not steal her leashes, again please be invited to browse my Facebook page or reach out to each local rescue and ask any of them their opinion on the work I do. I urge Miss Christie to be very careful what you accuse people of doing. Rescue is not an easy business that is for sure. As a whole Bradford does a good job and I’m hoping this was an isolated event. Below is what I spend my life doing.Saving an ABUSED animal may not change your life but it will change theirs FOREVER. Be very careful and educate yourself on abuse before you accuse.
We adopted our beautiful Ziggy Marley from here and it was the best day ever. It's not a happy place seeing all these dogs that deserve better by humans that let them down but the dogs are well cared for. The employees, especially Tracey Sayles, made adopting our big boy a memorable occasion--they definitely work hard at a job that they get very little thanks for. I appreciate everything they did!
We got our puppy Coco a year ago. She's an awesome canine. I just wanted you to see how she turned out.
Best group of employees who operate and manage the shelter that genuinely care about animals and their well beings and will most deffinitly go above and beyond to forsee these animals are well established and placed within the communities and will further assist with adoption events and rescue groups to ensure these animals are given every chance imaginable to recieve and have a forever loving home. Its touching and very heartfelt the hard work and dedication that everyone puts into the shelter but Mrs. Tracey and Ms. Donna oversee and make sure the animals have full potential and are quite a perfect fit for your needs and wants when searching and adopting these animals that are sometimes so fragile and broken it seems a lifetime for them to come around but it's like they are the animal whispers and just make it all come together and happen. Thanks ladies and keep up with all your hard work and dedication because it does show and I'm sure never overlooked.
Deputy Byrd and Donna are two of the nicest, most compassionate people Ive met. They went above and beyond to help me. I will forever be grateful.
Amanda was amazing. My second time going here for information and help. And the sheriffs that work here are wonderful.
