So much to say! Former vet tech here. Very Very last minute they took us in as a walk in! Front staff was so helpful and FRIENDLY. Very busy schedule in town only for a day. Wanted to make sure our puppy got his vaccines! They treated us with a toy to start for little man! Positive positive interactions with all staff. They were amazing with him! He didn’t even know he was getting a vaccine! Wish we lived in town we would be going to them with our other 4 dogs! Thankyou south Cherokee staff! You guys are awesome!
I brought my scary cat little dog Lilly to them and she was not traumatized afterwards. That prompted me to leave a positive review. I also appreciated the vet telling me she did NOT have to have her dental until next year even though I questioned it. I felt they were being honest and appreciated the clear cut information I received about her dental and her overall health.
I definitely recommend South Cherokee Vet Hospital. My dog's initial health visit could not have gone better! Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Dr. Beck was great with my newly adopted dog on her 1st vet visit. He was happy to answer all of my questions and Misty's tail didn't stop wagging for the entire exam.
From the moment we first visited Dr. Plaksa, it was clear that our fur kids were in exceptional care. While examining a limp in our dog Maddie's rear leg, Dr. Plaksa noticed an irregularity with a spot on her chest—a spot that had been previously dismissed by another vet as harmless. With sharp insight, Dr. Plaksa diagnosed a mass cell tumor that had been overlooked. She swiftly outlined a treatment plan, addressing the issue with both compassion and expertise, and undoubtedly saved Maddie's life. Dr. Plaksa has since become the trusted veterinarian for our entire pack, providing outstanding care to our new puppy Finnegan and our third dog, Churro. Her approach to preventive care has kept our pets healthy and happy, with every member of her team showing deep care and professionalism. We are profoundly thankful to Dr. Plaksa for her exceptional service and highly recommend her to all pet owners. She’s not just a vet; she’s a true hero to our family. Thank you, Dr. Plaksa, for everything you do!
I took Stevie Ray and Fonzie in for their first visit today and they got great care as always... I've taken my four legged family members to South Cherokee for years, and the staff and doctors are awesome.
My puppy “Pepper” is currently staying there while I’m on the mountain in Utah! 🏂 nice to have peace of mind that she’s being taken care of by the great people that work @ South Cherokee Animal Hospital
