In order to write a review I had to leave a star but I wish I could then zero stars. We took our family dog of 12 years in because he was losing his sight, hearing, sense of smell and was having bladder issues due to a slipped disk. Dr. Green suggested that we put him down….it was an extremely hard decision but watching him suffer and not being the fun loving dog he was, was unbearable as a result we felt putting him down was the best for him. I called to schedule it and his receptions was extremely rude. I was trying to be polite saying thank you and she flat out said “putting a dog down is usually hard for most normal people” I was taken aback and replied with I was trying to be polite but would not do that again. The day came to say goodbye and as my sisters and I were sobbing and telling him how good of a boy and dog he was Dr. Green came in and said “so this is the little guy we’re giving up on? We’re just giving up on him. His issues are too much so time to give up.” We had no words. He left and came back in and once again said something so horrific in the midst of us grieving and watching our family dog be put to sleep, he said “sorry Benny you’re just not going home today. Sorry bud no going home for you.” I was beyond offended and still am. It was DR. GREENS suggestion to put our dog down. It was an extremely painful decision we made as a family and for him to think we just “gave up” is crazy. The last moments with our dog were taken from us. We do not feel like we can even grieve because of how rude and malicious he was. I would not recommend anyone go there, we will not be taking any of our other dogs there.

Dr. Ron Green at Heartland is very Heartless, he's very quick to tell you he's putting your animals down without giving much of a choice or notice, he won't do everything he can to try to save your family pet like a vet should. To make it even worse, when he does euthanize them he won't even let you see them or say goodbye to them. I truly believe he doesn't actually like any animals other than his own, I very highly recommend not taking your beloved animals to this veterinary clinic and I very highly recommend taking them to Tender Hearts Clinic on A street because they ACTUALLY care for you and your pets.

We've been going to Heartland for years now. Recently my elderly cat had to be put to sleep and the staff were so sweet and understanding. They sent us a card and made the most amazing Paw print for us! Highly recommend!

Leaving 2 stars instead of one only because the receptionist was very kind & got back to me quickly. Anyways, Dr. Green said he would not operate on my dogs lipoma. No explanation other than its size & just said he wouldn’t.

Rude people at front. Took my son’s dog in and after her surgery were treated rudely and will never go back again. Why be in the dog business if you have no compassion or empathy for Owners and pets. Will go to stockman’s or somewhere else from now on.

Dr Green is prone to perform illegal procedures. He allows his staff to bully fellow employees. His entire practice is questionable.
