Description Yellow Creek is a veterinary surgery & imaging center located in the Montrose/Bath area of Ohio (outside of Akron). We have 1 veterinarian, Dr. John Owen, DVM. Yellow Creek does not have general wellness visits, but if you have an emergency surgical or imaging situation, we can help with these appointments. Yellow Creek offers consultations for surgery as well. Dr. Owen formerly had a practice in Howland, OH & then was a traveling surgeon before opening his own animal/surgery hospital near home in Bath, OH. We are now starting to see patients coming from as far as Michigan, Pennsylvania and California. We would be glad to help with all of your surgery & imaging needs. This should be pet owners one and only choice where to take their Fur kids for surgery. Dr. Owen & Staff are excellent, kind, compassionate and my pup has done so well after TPLO surgery. I so regret not taking my other Fur kid there for the same surgery, she went to the vet Business in Akron & suffered horribly after the surgery for 4 months and unfortunately then passed from Cancer. If you love your Fur Family then take them to the best Vet Surgeon & Hospital…Dr. Owen @ Yellow Creek Veterinary Surgery and Imaging Hospital in Yellow Creek, Akron. OH !!!

My sweet little Cavapoo broke his leg on Sunday, I can not express how wonderful Yellow Creek Animal hospital was in taking care of our little boy. We were so nervous about him being away and how he would do and they made sure to keep us updated every step of the way. From the front desk to the doctor everyone was amazing and we knew he was getting the love and care he needed. They made a bad situation a little easier and we are forever grateful.

We met Dr.Owen two years ago he had performed two surgeries on Zach..Dr. Owen not only a great veterinarian and surgeon he has such a wonderful personality ...very caring... Zach had recovered very well from the surgeries... Unfortunately today our visit was for torn meniscus ..Zach will be having surgery next week... I have a lot of faith in Dr. Owen... and his office staff is so pleasant..... this was my first visit inside the building due to the pandemic... I did have to comment that the facilities were extremely clean and I've gone to many many vets... I know in a few weeks Zach will be up and around he will be able to go back to his job as a volunteer at the seidman Cancer Center... Dr. Owen is the best👍

There is a difference between vets that treat an animal because it's their job and vets that CARE for an animal. Dr. Owens puts that into perspective. My Uncle recommended him to us and I'm glad he did!

Eli injured his rear leg and required TPLO surgery to repair. Dr. Owen and staff treated him as if he were their own pet. There's really nothing more important than seeing your pet get better! I was given a time frame of approx. 8 weeks for recovery and now Eli is up and running again. I wouldn't recommend any place else.

I can not say enough positive things about Dr Owen and his staff. My dog Riley had two TPLO surgeries a few years a part and both were handled with compassion and professionalism. Now, later in life our dog has been diagnosed with bone cancer and Dr. Owen walked us through every step. I am so appreciative of their care and I would recommend Yellow Creek to anyone I met. Thank you so much Dr. Owen and staff for being there for Riley!
