Fort Smith Animal Control is a joke, especially for the 3rd largest city in Arkansas. There is no "pound" and Animal Control will only come out for wild animals and dogs that have bitten people, and that's only if you can get someone to answer the phone. There's a different stray dog in my neighborhood every 2 days, it has been that way for years. Nothing gets done, the problem just gets worse.

Shame on you guys for killing that Husky. He was probably scared and what qualifications do the employees have? You should have turned the animal over to Ft Smith Animal Haven. The vet they use should be qualified to determine if an animal is TRULY AGGRESSIVE AND TRULY SHOUKD BE EUTHANIZED. Again shame on you guys.

I swear the people they hire in this department all have developmental disabilities. They are unintelligent, struggle to hold basic conversations, they can't even properly fill out forms, and often make really stupid assumptions leading to the inconvenience of the Ft. Smith citizens. Stop trying to fine someone for every stray out there, your department is obviously not cognitive enough to hold a thorough investigation. You punish people for leaving food out for these starving animals, yet refuse to pick them up or do anything else. Such a waste of taxpayer's money.

They are not very bright. They listen to a class d felons lies of a family with video proof that what they said is a lie.. it's a joke. They don't care they just take your animal and kill it even when it's a puppy. Thanks for killing my son's service dog......
