We adopted Pippin he is the sweetest little guy loves kids, loves to go on car rides and loves going to Petco, I couldn't ask for a better pup. Thanks to summit county Animal shelter for all the help the staff was so helpful and sweet, very professional. I highly recommend for people to adopt here!

It isn't fancy but they're honest and inexpensive. Animals are fully vetted, fixed, and chipped before adoption. People were great both times I visited.

We came in looking to adopt a dog. Was there for an hour and 15 minutes and staff only let us see 1 dog. We asked to see at least 4 different dogs. Staff left us alone waiting for over 20 minutes in a room waiting. So we decided to leave with no one at the front counter to talk to or anyway to speak to someone about what's going on. So sad this is a kill shelter and they are not giving the people or dogs a chance to even meet. This place needs to rethink how they operate.

Wonderful staff and set up. I liked their way of operating. Quinn, a boxer mix will be my forever k9 friend. Even being a young stray dog, she has absolute manners and is extremely loving. I was skeptical about a dog from the pound but have now learned that money doesn’t dictate a dog’s personality. Also it’s about you as the owner to be patient and loving while training your pet.

For only $28 he is micro chipped, fixed, has his shots up to date, and his Summit County tags for the year. I'm not a fan of having to pick from a bunch of photos on a wall, but my new buddy found me before I could pick off the wall. His new name is Murdoch and we are having fun together with my niece.
