Description We rescue cats and dogs from pounds and puppy mills who are in imminent danger of euthanasia. We spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinate, and de-worm every pet we rescue prior to adoption. We also treat all medical issues that present themselves, to include extraordinary medical treatments and surgery. Every pet we rescue has a home at One of A Kind for life. We are supported by our donors and volunteers, and invite everyone to also shop in our retail store that supports our efforts. We truly strive to rescue the pets in most dire need of help.

I love this rescue! I adopted my two boys on April 5th and they have the best temperament and the adoption counselor and the young lady who helped me with the application was very kind! It was a Saturday morning so it was very busy and I can tell the staff were running all over the place! Anyone who is commenting that they can’t get a hold of someone who works there should come on a week night! It’s not as crowded. Application process was super easy and I love that this rescue you can wander and check out all the pets and see their personalities!

Free kitten!!! Giving 4 stars because I know I'm emotional right now and can't properly review them. Have a stray kitten that was abandon at my job site. We've had her for a week to see if anyone wanted her but can't keep her. Brought her in, they checked with cat boss and said they were at max capacity. Okay I get that. I'm sure the place is amazing and I was going to g rab a volunteer application while I was there. I offered to pay her adoption fee and foster her if they could find her a home. Unfortunately they couldn't do that either so I'm posting here & hoping. She is the sweetest... so if anyone with a good home would like an amazing and adorable free kitten, please message me.

Amazingly cool Dog party!! The outside area is equipped with all these cool items. Dog friendly and active areas. My dog is normally not kind or sweet to other dogs just alone. And she loved the attention. She was the star at they pool Party. She got snacks and smiles from others. The workers are so polite and helpful. I loved the event my canine Cancorso is ten years old human years.. she had the time of her life! Thanks for the cool invite on Facebook

I had a wonderful experience with One of A Kind Pet. I adopted my boy in June 2023 and couldn’t have asked for better process. To start, it was evident how much they love and care for the animals at their resuce. When going into One of A Kind Pet, to adopt, the staff took time that was needed to ensure that the dog was the best fit possible for me and my other dog. I was able to meet multiple dogs, which helps to ensure the best possible outcome for not only the dog up for adoption but also the family adopting the dog. I will definitely be adopting from them again when the time is right.
